I'm having troubles. I understand that one needs Flickr, Photobucket ect to post url. So I set up Flickr account put the app on my phone along with this sites app. In Flickr I copy pictures url then go to post and hit picture tab and paste the url. All that happens is it says IMG. WTF am I missing? Please help it's got to be easier than I'm making it. Grrr...
Show us a post that you tried to post a picture, or try one here. Or just post the image url. It needs to be an image, not a web page, so should end in one of the common image file extensions like jpg.
In Flickr I select copy url then paste that here and that img is all I get. I hit the picture tap and paste it there in the box.
You aren't posting a picture, that is a web page ... https://www.flickr.com/gp/160284142@N02/347gvP I don't use flickr but there should be some tabs that let you copy image url. The imgur site is much more user friendly for sharing pictures, there is even a BBCode button that you just click and then paste in your post, like below from my little section ...
You need to grab the BBcode from Flickr and paste it here. Don’t paste it into the image icon in the tool bar...just paste it in the message pane.
At the Flickr page in the Safari browser I clicked a down arrow and was given a choice of sizes. I chose 640 x 480 and was given an image only. I pasted the URL of that image in the image button here in my forum post. The image button puts the IMG before the image URL and the /IMG after it, both in the usual brackets.
HA! Finally this light bulb went off. Thanks for all the help guys. Appreciate ya 20180316_210153 by Darin Urban, on Flickr
I've been using Postimage.org for a year or so to post photos here since Photobucket started acting up. I thought the images would last, but on revisiting some posts I made using Postimage I find the photos have disappeared, replaced by this little icon... Anybody know a photo hosting site that once the photo is posted, the photo will stay posted?
Personally, I am just lazy, once I found out you couldn't just cut and paste them in from your local box, and had to go through a service, I never did it, and still cannot post pictures!
