Ugh great. I swear I saw a lower price for the UK weeks earlier somewhere.

The Pompeii concert would be good on vinyl too!

Showing up on amazon by a seller is no different than it showing up on eBay. Allowing internet preorders is against the spirit of RSD. If you’re going to do that, RSD loses its purpose.

Norco74 For the good and the not so good…

You are right, the item can end up on pre-order on many sites.

In zinan member case, my undrstanding was that it was sold by Amazon.it and not by a seller using their web platform.

So here's what we know for sure and in bold what we can expect based on the CD catalog numbers:

PFRLP1 The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (Stereo)
PFRLP2 A Saucerful of Secrets (Stereo)
PFRLP3 Soundtrack from the Film "More"
    PFRLP4 Ummagumma
    PFRLP5 Atom Heart Mother
    PFRLP6 Meddle
    PFRLP7 Obscured by Clouds
PFRLP8 The Dark Side of the Moon
    PFRLP9 Wish You Were Here
    PFRLP10 Animals
    PFRLP11 The Wall
    PFRLP12 The Final Cut
PFRLP13 A Momentary Lapse of Reason
    PFRLP14 The Division Bell
    PFRLP15 The Endless River
    PFRLP16 Delicate Sound Of Thunder
    PFRLP17 P-U-L-S-E
    PFRLP18 Relics
PFRLP19 A Collection Of Great Dance Songs
PFRLP20 Echoes - The Best of Pink Floyd
PFRLP21 The Best of Pink Floyd: A Foot in the Door

    PFRLP22 ?
    PFRLP23 ?
    PFRLP24 ?
    PFRLP25 ?

PFRLP26 The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (Mono)
    PFRLP27 ? [A Saucerful of Secrets (Mono)]

PFRLP22 to PFRLP25 are unknown so far, as there's no CD release linked to them.
One of them (let's say PFRLP22) will most surely be "Live At Pompeii", which will be released at long last by the end of the year.
Hopefully, another will be the long awaited vinyl release of "Is There Anybody Out There (The Wall Live)" (let's say PFRLP23). Are they waiting for the green light from Roger? Maybe to pair it with the long overdue BluRay?
So that still leaves two numbers: PFRLP24 and PFRLP25.
Somebody suggested "Live At Empire Pool", which would be PHENOMENAL, but we have no clue about it.
Anybody have any ideas about what we can expect for these two orphans? Maybe a more comprehensive collection of the early singles?

His estate gets his royalties, strictly speaking, not his family. Though his estate is very likely composed of members of his family.

    La Carrera Panamericana OST?

Or the long-discussed remixed Momentary Lapse? I wonder if the PF camp are watching Yes's Fly From Here reissue with new vocals to see if the prospect of old material with new additions has legs.

Last I read was an interview hopeing it would be released November 2017 (the blu-ray, that is). I haven't seen any mention about a vinyl release of Pompeii, but might have missed it. Do you have any more information?

Works was never a UK comp. I seriously doubt it will be re-released.

Same as you. I just figured that since they are finally doing that well deserved Blu Ray release, they might as well pair it with a proper audio release.

I too doubt that Works will ever be reissued. Roger hates its guts.

Haha, he does? And yet it's the only comp to feature his 'Several Species'. Oh wait, maybe that's why ;-)

I think it's more because it was an unauthorized release and included his composition "Embryo", which was recorded as a demo. A few years before, Pink Floyd had already demanded the withdraw of the Harvest compilation "Picnic - A Breath Of Fresh Air", which also had this track.

I have no idea what the situation is but if his sister has died without children, the estate could very well have left the family.

I rather have a problem with the record store day itself.
For me it’s just a well done marketing trick that turned in to be a cash cow, powered by hype with insignificant releases.
The worst part is, that music fans who spent a lot of money all year long have to fight for the very few essential releases, instead of just releasing them regularly.

I just hate it. I am a record listener, not a record collector. I just don’t get it. I’ll rather pass, then spend my free day standing in line, fighting with professional sellers and people who irritatingly (to me) seem to like it.

However, mono piper would be almost worth it. Still don’t think that this particular release will be around for long at the regular price. It’s a different class then interstellar overdrive.

I would delete half of the stuff on my to-buy list just because of this.

D*mn, you were faster than me with writing that catalogue list (I planned to post that since yesterday^^).
Guess you meant me with the idea getting Live At Empire Pool, Wembley there and I think The Early Years: Creation could be another possibility.
Plus, let's have The Wall: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on vinyl, alright?

[Edit:] Just had this idea, what if we get vinyl reissues of the quad mixes of Atom Heart Mother, Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here sometime later?
And also those remixes of Meddle and Obscured By Clouds?

As I said, I have no idea what Syd Barrett's family situation is. In any case, ownership of the estate is determined by his will (or his country's succession laws).
Don't assume an artist's estate is controlled by his or her family, as that is not necessarily the case.
