Looks to me like there's some kind of chemical reaction (CD fungus or something similar) going on the CD surface. I have several CDs that suffered from it and i was able to clean them with 70% Ethanol. You may give it a try. Don't use 99% Isopropyl alcohol as that stuff can ruin the CD completely.

Wrong items much too often. In addition, I’ve started asking sellers to check for warps by spinning the record on both sides on a turntable. The last order I received was both warped and a standard issue instead of a white label promo. You have to either know nothing about records, or you’re trying to scam someone. :realmad:

Really, why not? I've been using it for over a decade with no eventual problems on CD play side surfaces.

I think some sellers are just a-holes and don't care when they make a mistake. I've had the same thing happen a couple of times (stock company instead of WLP as listed) and both times the jack**s sellers refused to accept they sent the wrong item. I was quite happy when a particular seller on Discogs was booted off for being a jerk as his negative feedback would attest to.

I once used it to remove black marker from a label and it not only removed the marker but also the label and even ruined the data layer. I had similar experiences with other discs so i decided not to use it anymore on CDs . It's great for removing sticker remains and other nasty stuff from the jewel case though.

Wanna buy it ? It's a first pressing and still in decent condition ( a few tracks should be playable). VG+ condition (conservatively graded),i guess. :D

I suppose if I ever swallowed something harmful, I could look at that and whatever it was would come out one end or the other.

:agree: I never have used it on the label side for the reasons you mention. Top side is way too delicate. On the back/play side a lot of times with no destruction though.

The thread title assumes the listing itself is correct. Also I would not bother trying to sell a $15 record where I have to search through 16 confusingly written up variants of a record. I am reasonably experienced and sometimes I can't figure out an item's various listings.

I have given up with the site except for picture linking. Of course many of the pictures have extremely poor image quality which poses problems for that.
