Hey there, so-called music lovers. You should check out this here piece o' music. Emotionally charged and a half: The original 18 minutes plus version by YOB is a masterpiece, BTW. YOB - Marrow (Clearing the Path to Ascend 2014 | HQ)
Yup, that is what they all say. Too bad that ya'll are missing out on gold here, but then again: I tried to actually help my fellow man out. Never again, mind you
Anything's better than listening to what old Burt sez, isn't it? Granted, that is a purdy good rekkid.
Forcibly removed this CD after 5 plays since arrival on Friday - must move on for now! Visceral live renditions of VU & solo stuff, but none better than a run from Martial Law through Satellite of Love, Kill Your Sons, and Betrayed. Per usual, a punchy rendition of WhiteLight performed live outstrips the studio version by a Secretariat Belmont finish. The only disappointment is Walk on the Wild Side with a leaden foot on the accelerator; some songs just don't grow with steroid enchancement. Discovering Lou after the VU's all-too-short career was like finding Bob Mould post Du, Lydon after the Pistols, or iterations of the JGB after the Dead circa 19... wait, what?
Anyone doing RSD on Saturday ? I think I really narrowed it down to CRB and Jason Isbell Bull Moose. Record Store Day 2018
