I like 1957's Hell Drivers, with Stanley Baker and extremely young Patrick McGoohan and Sean Connery, the latter two about as far from their sophisticated roles in The Prisoner and 007 as is possible to imagine!

You’ll find it cheaper, if you shop around. I just linked to the BFI’s website as they are the label issuing the set.

I wouldn’t bet on that. Looking at the list of films produced by Woodfall, it would appear that the BFI has put most of their larger eggs in one basket. A second box set would not be nearly so appealing to the average punter. Plus, the rights to some of those films, e.g. Kes, lie elsewhere (Masters of Cinema).

I would imagine that, in most cases, the BFI box set will represent a significant upgrade over what is currently available.

The Bed-Sitting Room has been available in region B for a long time, via the BFI’s wonderful Flipside series. In fact, it was the first release in that series:

    A Taste Of Honey(1961).
    Murray Melvin steals the film.

“Scum” by Alan Clarke (either the original banned BBC version or the feature) explores the awfulness of youth borstals of the time.
Perhaps not officially part of the “kitchen sink” line-up, but well within the same philosophy.

    The television version was 1977.

    The theatrical remake was 1979.
