    And

Though it is a CD player not a transport. Any CD player with coax and/or optical outputs though can be used as a transport

I saw an older model one here for around $1,000 but it was about 15 years old

Still I like the look of the older one better

Oh man I want that Acoustic Plan transport! FWIW, I really wish Schitt would come out with a transport. Feels perfectly iconoclastic to me and I know Mike M. is skeptical of streaming quality and has a lot of experience designing transports. I have everything ripped and streaming through an Allo USbridge, but I often find myself spinning the discs during the workday—perhaps because it gives me the break to get out of my chair, pick something, and play it.

NuPrime has a new transport @$795.00 US that looks interesting.

For me, I have been very pleased with my SimAudio 260DT. However, at $2K it is higher than your budget.

For $1k,I would still give the Woo a shot.

The fact that the builder is a local guy you can talk to inspires a bit more confidence. Besides, this arm seems to be completely manual, so the damage may not happen, or may be easily fixed with a replacement, provided he stocks enough of them.

Hello, this is my first posting, but I have been reading a lot (especially those about Audio Note, and Richard Austen bears some responsibility in my purchases :) )
Now a specific question related to this post.
I have an Audio Note Dac One 1x which I recently purchased and use with both my Macbook pro+ Audirvana and an old Audio Note AN CD2 as a transport (with a M2 Tech for usb to spdif).
I do not use so much the transport since I mainly listen to the Macbook and to LPs (on a Voyd Valdi + AN ArmI-2)
The AN CD2 was initially used as an integrated transport+Dac until I had a chance to purchase the Dac One.

Now I have come across a CDT Zero whose size would make more sense in my setup, but I wonder which transport (AN cd2 or CDT Zero) would be better.
I'm using an OTO Phono Sig with AN K Lx...
I also have a Benchmark DAC2 HGC which I was using before the Dac One (and which I am still using, and is a must in case of hi Res and DSD).
So back to the transport question : should I jump or not on this CDT Zero?

    Thanks in advance.

    Daniel

Built rather well, aren't they? My plan is, when my (relatively) ancient Naim CD5 goes to Heaven, I'll buy a CD200 and whatever the current Rega DAC is. That combo will sound amazing!
