Same here. I can't stop playing it on my iPod at work and in the car. I'm planning to spin the vinyl again tonight. Can't wait for the live RSD release!

Love dap kings and glad they have jobs lined up. But I can’t stand baptiste. He annoys the crap out of me every night on Colbert. That said I’m interested in how dap kings sound doing New Orleans flavors
A copy of Delvon Lamarr's album is on its way to my house. There were less than 20 copies according to the Colemine site last week when I ordered my copy.
i was at plaid room/colemine last week. they still had the coke bottle clear ones in the shop, but unnumbered. scored one.
Fantastic! Those guys can play! You can tell they’ve been playing together for a long time, they’ve got that connected synergy that is absolutely incredible.
I lucked out and got a copyof DLRT's live at KEXP today. Really impressed with the whole package. Good sound, really nice cover much like a Music Matters product. Is this normal for Coalmine Records? I have their studio release arriving in a few days so this is my first experience with the label. Really dig the Curtis Mayield and Big John Patton covers on this live one. I hope this trio finds their way west in the near future.
That should have been DLOT but you knew what I was talking about. Thanks. The cover is definitely a cut above the usual by quite a margin.
DLOT's Close But No Cigar arrived yesterday and I got a chance to spin it last night before bed. Really enjoyed the tempo on Memphis. It's a little slower than the live version naturally but that gives it a slightly different groove. Nice to hear Can I Change My Mind done insteumentally as well. This and the live one will get some spins at my next dj gig.
i just miss this thread and wish daptone would get back to being daptone. their email newsletters make me depressed as of late... that is all.
There should be new Budos and Menahan Street Band coming this year, as well as some unreleased Charles Bradley stuff too.
Binky interview featuring some Binky Griptite Orchestra tunes, in case ya missed it. Binky Griptite | B-Side
Did anyone grab anything from the Daptone sidewalk sale? I snagged: Michael Rault - It's a New Day Tonight The James Hunter Six - Whatever It Takes The James Hunter Six - Minute By Minute Antibalas - Where the Gods Are in Peace The Como Mamas - Move Upstairs Menahan Street Band - "The Wolf"/"Bushwick Lullaby" 7"
I was driving back from Vermont when I remembered the sale, so at around 4:45 I pulled over and whipped out my phone. Unfortunately two of the three LPs I wanted were already sold out.
Grabbed two Sugarman Three LPs. surprised the first naomi shelton lp was out of stock. Saw on instagram they had boxes of $5 lps at the sale. Wlda loved to dig thru those...
I ordered SJ & DK version Just Checked In and Charles Bradley's Heart of Gold along with Sugarman 3s Pure Cane Sugar. I have the Sugarman 3 on cd but wanted it on vinyl for my dj gig.
