Which albums do you guys think peaks with the first three songs (that being the first three songs on side 1). There's already a thread about the albums which peaks with the first song but I think there are a lot of albums where the two following songs are just as good. My examples woould be the following:

Moondance by Van Morrison: And It Stoned Me, Moondance, Crazy Love
Selling England By The Pound by Genesis: Dancing With The Moonlit Knight, I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe), Firth Of Firth
Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not by Arctic Monkeys: The View From The Afternoon, I bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, Fake Tales Of San Francisco
Undertow by Tool: Intolerance, Prison Sex, Sober
Sheer Heart Attack by Queen: Brighton Rock, Killer Queen, Tenement Funster

Of course this is all our own opinions but it will be interesting to see which albums you think peaks with the first three songs.

Yeah Close To The Edge is a great candidate (even though it's only three songs )

Sticky Fingers is another album whose three first songs are clearly the peak: Brown Sugar, Sway, Wild Horses

Hmm, not sure about that. Bitch and Can't You hear Me Knocking are up there and Moonlight Mile is probably the best song on the album.

Respectfully disagree, and feel that that album is top shelf, start to finish.

I was originally looking for albums with more than three songs but where the first three is best, Close To The Edge has after all only three songs. I do agree that they are all the peak though so yeah great choice.

Can't agree - the 4th song is the best one on the whole album!

It's an awesome album throughout, but there's something very special about the triple whammy that constitutes the side 1 of Remain in Light by Talking Heads - Born Under Punches (The Heat Goes on), Crosseyed and Painless, The Great Curve.
