Or in other words, what's your favourite Beatles single from 1962-1965 July?
Weird poll, sure, but hey I want to be thorough (which is why I still haven't done PPM?)
My guess is I Wanna Hold Your Hand, followed by She Loves You, followed by Love Me Do.
Also I'm still including the German version, just because they're on the track listing so why not. Maybe someone will prefer Sie leibt dich for its mixing or something, which knowing this forum is a fair conclusion for a vote. And yes this is going to be a landslide but I'm confident I'm Down, She's a Woman, This Boy etc. will get some votes but if anyone votes for Matchbox as well... well, I'll just be left very confused.

Yes, one vote is very difficult, but I've decided to leave it at one because that's what I've already done for the rest. I picked I Feel Fine because it's beautifully laid back and just a brilliant stoner-in-disguise-pop/rock song.
Had it been another day I might have looked the other way and picked She Loves You, as I know how much that meant to me when I was young but unfortunately like many of the singles I've listened to it way too much. I Feel Fine included, but not nearly as much.

    For other Beatles polls:
The Best Song on The Beatles ‘With the Beatles’ Poll
Best Song on The Beatles’ ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ Poll
Best Song on The Beatles' 'Beatles For Sale' Poll?
Best Song on The Beatles’ ‘Help!’ Album? Poll

Komm gib mir deine Hand. Because like most things, it sounds so much more forceful in German.

  5. I'm voting for "Slow Down" because hearing it at three years old changed my life for the better. Like Keith Richards after hearing Chuck Berry... I knew exactly what I wanted to do after hearing "Slow Down" on my mom's Something New LP. :righton: Their screams still give me chills. OWWW!

I Feel Fine sounds out of place here. Like it would've been released along with Day Tripper or something. I know it was close but in comparison to songs on here released after it sounds much more progressed.

If I must, I'll vote for I'm Down. That song sounds so spur of the moment. No rehearsal, just hit the button and let's play.

No, this poll would be for non-album singles. There is no option for Help, Yesterday, Days Night, Can't buy my love, and many other favorites

    I Call Your Name.

That effortless rhythmic shift to ska (!) during the guitar solo gets me every time.

And it was recorded the same day as "Yesterday," to boot!

I voted for "I'll Get You" with "She Loves You" not far behind from overtaking it. Two great songs on a 45.

I've always hated the "oh yeahh" bit of I'll Get You. Feels like a song with a lot of potential. Some bits are gold, while others are poor.

I Want To Hold Your Hand but it is better on Mono Masters and just exactly perfect on duophonic Meet the Beatles.
