What’s the reaction on this one? Pacific Northwest ’73-’74: The Complete Recordings Boxed Set | Grateful Dead
I'm glad the longest "Playing" ever gets released at last, and I'm glad they decided to include it on the 3-cd set for those who are not interested in having all the shows or that can't afford this box. And we're getting a new official "Dark Star"!
Disc 4: 1-Sugar Magnolia (9:57) 2-Casey Jones (7:31) 3- Johnny B. Goode (3:56) One of the most unappealing GD discs I've seen
I never received an email so thanks for the heads up. Ordered. I live in the NW so I have no choice but to order
You can have the........ 1. Throwing Stones > 2. Not Fade Away 3. I Fought The Law .......disc instead.
Usually I become a sucker for vinyl. But I'm not tempted by the 5.19.74 show at all. It really shows the length limitations of vinyl that they would pick that show. I'm kinda burnt out on Truckin... which admittedly is the highlight here... and a 6 minute Scarlet? No thanks. But my wallet is grateful.
Didn't finish the seaside chat yet, but Dave did make mention of a small table on which this box will be showcased in his home. He claims he doesn't usually do this, but I imagine that there are dozens of miniature tables throughout his home similarly adorned with Dead releases.
Is this the first time there is a discount for the files vs. the CDs? I also don't remember 16/44 being offered alongside 24/192 much less at different prices. This looks like my cup of meat for sure.
Ordered. I was really hoping they'd release something that sucked this year. Haha. Exactly how big is this box? That International Shipping charge almost killed the deal....almost. Crazy, though.
