This thread is excellent, as are the individual album song by song discussions we've been doing lately, but IMO the mother of all Hoffman Forum Stones discussions starts with THIS one:
The Rolling Stones Album-by-Album Thread (it's about damn time)

It does indeed. I have found one too. Pristine, perfect apart from four clicks in Confessing The Blues - which the original (VERY careful) owner assures me were there right from new.

This is the one from former Yugoslavia. I managed to get my copy back in the early 90's after that country fell apart. I was, and still am, amazed of the true full stereo sound. How it was released there from all countries is a mystery.
The word STEREO is proudly presented on both sides of the label.

I’d add Mr. Tambourine Man to this list. And Ticket To Ride.

Satisfaction is tongue in cheek, and Let’s Spend The Night Together isn’t.

Listen to the Dickies doing Nights In White Satin instead.

I think I remember the stereo mix first appeared on the MFSL vinyl of Hot Rocks.

Get Off Of My Cloud appeared in stereo on the MFSL Hot Rocks, but not Satisfaction.

And he was not trying 'meet' some girl, the correct lyric is 'make some girl'!

I volunteer. I missed the early years, though. I first saw them in 1967. They played a medley of Get Off Of My Cloud and Yesterday’s Papers. Weird.

Wow! That's amazing. "Yesterday's Papers" live...not something you hear about every day, that's for sure. You have my jealousy and a tip of my hat for seeing them across all six decades. I hope they keep rolling into the 2020s. I hold out hopes for a 60th anniversary concert. :D

The segue comes without an edit on the London mono LP. Both tracks are live.

To be clear, it's just edited *differently*. At the end of the performance of HYSYMB, the Satisfaction riff starts to be played. On the stereo LP, that riff (from the end of HYSYMB) plays once, and then there's a hard edit to the actual performance of Satisfaction, which picks up on the second go-round of the riff. On the mono LP, HYSYMB ends slightly before the riff is going to start, where it hard edits to the start of Satisfaction (the opening notes of which are heard, unlike on the stereo mix).

The ABKCO remix is closer to the mono, but HYSYMB continues slightly longer than the mono, and then there's a gap before the start of Satisfaction.

Got Live is a weird album all around, but the fact that HYSYMB doesn't end cleanly, necessitating those strange edits, certainly *strongly* suggests those basic tracks were in fact live.

I do:). Someone working for the record company folded it and smuggled it out in his shirt pocket. I bought this copy.

I agree that the BBC cut is superior.
Oldham saw the band live and was astounded they did not play it, so on a break he told them they had simply forgotten to do so. They told him they hated it and never played it so incredulous, Oldam said they HAD to play it!
Oh to be a fly on the wall.

No, I don't collect 7 inches. I've got the complete works on CD and a large percentage of the albums on vinyl, though. I don't really collect vinyl either, but I've got my dad's Stones record collection. They mean a lot to me. There are a couple of folks in this thread with great Stones 45 collections though! If I had unlimited funds, I'd start up a collection myself. They are so beautiful! :D
