Don't tell me that John played organ while eating a doughnut in the mono version of a Stones album!

How you dare to complain about that when you know that people are... well, you know.

No, but you both have Rega RP6 with Exact 2 carts. Those need to be dialed in very precisely at 1.75 gm. I would check your VTF with a digital scale.

If I buy it for $399 I'll get it tomorrow. But my $179 order is still showing arriving Friday. Very strange. Hope I get a shipping notice soon!

Maybe you have a parental control cart that can detect the f word. No wonder why Star Star distorts like crazy.

The “Stones suck after 1972” flavor. A Beatles fans favorite!

I just checked mine and had no issues. The vocals stay pretty clear throughout on mine, no sibilance at all on the "S" sounds. That rhythm guitar in the left channel is distorted as all hell, but stays tight in the soundstage.

I compared it to my original Warners pressing and an 80's CBS pressing, and this one was about the same, possibly even a little better, but the recording is a murky blur any way you hear it.

Matrix info on my Side 2:

I have dialed in my tracking force with a digital scale. I haven't had this issue on any other records, or records from this set...just this particular track.

I did not notice that on my copy. Did you clean the needle?
I also listened to the same track on a near mint original UK copy I have and there is no sibilance. The original have higher highs and clearer crisper vocals.

After further investigation I can tell that as Mick passed the copy of Exile over to Keith it is Charlie who actually first utters quietly: "That's a good one!"which prompted Keith to confirm also.

And interesting to note that the only one that Charlie singled out and pulled out of the box himself was "Blue and Lonesome"...to which Keith again commented, "That was a great one!"

I ordered the box from Music Inc for a really low price and it was shipped overnight yesterday and delivered today in perfect condition however the download card was stuck in the deadwax of Sticky Fingers so I called and I may be getting a replacement as long as I am home tomorrow to sign for the special delivery which will be hermetically sealed and contain an extra code which will enable an additional unreleased version of Bridges to be delivered within 4 hours of activation and ........

I think he actually said, "That was a great one!" to Some Girls.

You guys. Now I'm lusting over this set and I can not buy it yet. I have to save, but I did buy The Beatles Mono set that way and it all worked out. Good things come to those who wait. Oh, Happy Father's Day by the way.

I'll have to watch again but I tried yesterday to identify which of them Keith commented "That was a great one" about but I felt he was pointing at the one Mick threw down prior to Blue and Lonesome and that was Some Girls...I think...

Anybody else? We may never know the truth.
