It's an experiment by Amazon trying to beat the pricing bots that index every price drop by Amazon. That is what all these hidden coupons are about. The lower price never shows up in the item's pricing history. There are good reasons why Amazon wants this information kept hidden. I've honestly been surprised they haven't bought out CamelCamelCamel simply to shut it down. If it was up to Amazon, all pricing history would be kept hidden from customers.
This actually makes sense. But it makes me wonder why their pricing goes up and down with no rhyme or reason.
If you save items in your cart or saved for later then each time the price changes you get a message. Sort of an additional plug for the item. That’s my guess other when they’re price matching the competition, what little is left.
Mine is also en route, but I'll buy pretty much anything all analogue from original tapes by Chris Bellman. Favorable reviews: WHAT'S THAT SOUND? Complete Albums Collection - Buffalo Springfield

I ordered this, arrived last week. Kind of a no brainer at this price given that I like Smashing Pumpkins a lot. This album is a pleasant surprise and well worth it. The price had shot back up above $20 but is down to $5.79 again. Temporarily out of stock but this seems like something which will show up again so placing an order shouldn't be futile. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07533V22Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
What are the good reasons they want that price and discount hidden? Just curious. I assume it’s a computer algorithm based on how many sold recently, how many on hand, wholesale cost.
If customers know an item has been sold at a lower price, they won't buy at the higher price unless they need it quickly. They'll wait to buy when it returns to the lower price.
Anyone know if this Chuck Berry album sounds good ? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0716M9NFB/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER It’s a recent Geffen reissue. My experiences with them have been positive.
Hmmm... Not getting e'mails again... DEAL: TEMPLES: Sun Structures https://www.amazon.com/Sun-Structur...qid=1531165902&sr=1-1&keywords=Sun+Structures I had not known about this album, but thanks to another members listing, I checked it out on YouTube and it sounds really nice. A 2-LP pink vinyl collection of mid-level British Psychedelia. Not too boring and bland or Poppy, but not super heavy like KGaTLW Very nice sounding actually. Also, there was a $3.xx coupon which brought it down shipped to about $14.xx ***EDIT I THINK the current starting price on Discogs is about $40...
