Pretty much. It became clear pretty quickly that he was the glue holding it all together.

  9. The one on the right ("Athena" from another show, I think) was truly gorgeous.

Tried watching the American series but gave up after about 3 episodes. Can watch MATH, George & Mildred and Robin's Nest endlessly though.

3 episodes? Were they the first??? It would be like watching Seinfeld at first. If you bailed on that you would be missing out on some of the greatest comedy.

Ritter alone is well worth the investment.

Btw recogonize blonde from Straw Dogs I think.

It was the first three, and they just felt like pale imitations of the British version (plus the first episode was basically an Americanised version of the UK's first episode). Ritter was good in it though, he was about the only good thing I can remember from it.

Still think MATH has the better theme tune though, TC's one is so corny.

Sally Thomsett was indeed in Straw Dogs:

The other actress Paula Wilcox is probably only vaguely known in America for her appearance in a sketch on The Benny Hill Show:

I am sure the show is good but it wouldbe like judging All in the Family by first season alone. CRIMINAL

Three's Company lasted 170+ episodes...can't agree with "pale imitation".

I have heard the same thing about All in the Family. I saw lots of episodesof Till Death. Quite liked it....BUT HELL NO!

P.s. was also thinking of something else. To miss out on Larry character who is a theater actor and Lonna (sp)/ Ann Wedgeworth (from Scarecrow with Pacino/Hackman) is also short shifting.

Actors need time to get their footing. It is not like the show just limped along. It got better and better and I maintain that each blonde replacement help keep the show interesting....frickin' Don Knotts too??? To miss him??

That is Jayne Kennedy, a real stunner in her time. She used to host an infomercial 'way back when' and I would watch it with the sound down for the nice little outfit she was wearing.
Last time I saw her on tv, she was very heavy. She was a big boned gal, to begin with.

While none of them would earn my veto, Terri would be my first choice.

Jack also dated some really cute girls like the dizbrain with the crazy, bodybuilder brother.

Chrissy if I understand the question correctly.

Janet if this question is actually about marriage.

Now THAT sounds like it would make for a funny sit-com, and a much better show than the putrid 3's Company.

A possible point of interest to SHF'ers is that Hamilton Camp, author of the song Pride Of Man (notably covered by Quicksilver Messenger Service) appeared as on the show as Furley's brother.
