    Hands down mine is Dark Side of the Moon. I still play it several times a year from start to finish. I remember as a kid 40+ years ago recording DSOTM on our station's "midnight theatre" on my R2R deck and wearing it out. I eventually got the album and found als MFSL version at a garage sale. I owned a few US LP versions before Cd's came on the scene. Probably the most versions I have purchased of any album (Vinyl, tape, cds, sacd).

    Hard to say just one over my lifetime (been listening to music for over 50+ years at this point). The ones that come to mind immediately:

    Meet the Beatles, Sgt. Pepper, and Magical Mystery Tour - Beatles (and really, most of their albums)
    Born to Run and Darkness on the Edge of Town - Springsteen
    Pet Sounds - Beach Boys

    Most of the Beatle albums. Probably Rubber Soul has got the most uninterrupted plays.

    I’d imagine it would be a Beatles album. Maybe The Beatles Second Album or Magical Mystery Tour. Despite being double albums I’ve played Elton John’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Neil Diamond’s Hot August Night and The Who’s Tommy and Quadrophenia a lot. Thinking more about it, Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust gets played a lot. I love Olivia and Kylie and I know Physical and Light Years got heavy play.

    So I guess I don’t really know.

    Yes "Going For The One". From the day it came out. Many happy detours in between of course.
    Up until then probably Rubber Soul.

    This is a really hard thread to reply to.

    Probably Venom- At War With Satan, over the years had LP, cassette, now CD, adored both sides... always looked forward to getting to Aaaaaaarrghh, and for female vocals (a recent taste acquisition, last 5 years say) Judy Garland-Alone and disc one of Carnegie Hall...

    Not sure if there's one that stands ahead of the rest...Maybe Queen's debut album?

    I rarely listen to Led Zeppelin I, II or IV anymore because I played them so much as a teenager that every note is engrained into my subconscious.

    Probably played Led Zeppelin II the most.

    It's either Bob Dylan's Freewheelin' or Jackson Browne's Late For The Sky.

  15. I probably have about half a dozen or so that come close to the top, but there isn't one that truly stands out.

    Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
    Marvin Gaye - What's Going On
    The Beatles - Abbey Road
    Harmonium - l'heptade
    CSN&Y - Déjà Vu
    Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells

    Pink Floyd "The Final Cut"
    Deep Purple "Perfect Strangers"

    Today there are others albums by Pink Floyd and Deep Purple that I play more often than the aforementioned ones. But the early 80s where the time when I discovered real music and had all the time to enjoy my record collection.

    Start to finish?

    "John Wesley Harding" by John Dylan.

    It's not my 'most-played' album, there are a lot of albums that would be ahead of JWH were it not for that 'start-to-finish' qualifier.

    No idea. I've always been careful to not play anything too often. There are surely albums I've heard a couple hundred times over the years--I've been steadily listening to music for over 50 years now, so even just hearing something four times per year on average would give it a couple hundred spins, but there would be a bunch of them, and there's no way for me to know which would have had the most plays.

    3 to get the list started;
    Steely Dan - "Countdown to Ecstasy".
    Bruce Springsteen - "The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle".
    Dire Straits - "Dire Straits".
    Bonus;
    I have listened to Dave Alvin & Jimmie Dale Gilmore relentlessly since it came out last month. And will continue to do so.
