Theres a universe where Phillip Duncan's Neu-Polka Danz record has outsold the Beatles & Drake combined.

I got news for ya. It didn't take Drake to ruin The Beatles for me. They did that all by themselves.

Ok, in a spirit of open mindedness I listened to a few of his cuts. IMO it sucks. There I said it.

Almost as refreshing as "I hate everything after 1970". Popcorn?

I was born in the 90's so I have no horse in this race. Just making an observation.

There’s good stuff that comes out every single year although it’s far less bountiful than say .....1966.

If people like this guy more power to them. It doesn’t do anything for me. Sorry but I don’t see any earth shattering talent there.

Nah. Doesn't hold a candle to the classics - the Jeatlebo and Peter Pyle threads. Those were the gooood threads. I feel sorry for the newer members who never got a chance to experience the greats.
Those threads changed the world. I mean, who is colgems 1966 ? I've never heard of him. Let's see where he is in five years and maybe then I'll be impressed. But Peter Pyle is forever.

What a complete joke this is. Because the music industry counts streams now?? This is like sports records being broken by athletes jacked up on steroids.

It's called CHEATING. Probably some marketing gimmick is more likely to make the hipsters and clueless youngsters out there think that there's something special about this guy. LOL I don't even know who he is but I'm sure no one will remember him in a few years time. Justin Bieber in a new form, here today gone tomorrow.

Meanwhile the Beatles, ever timeless, will still be there.

I kinda don't either. I just love watching The Beatles lovers die a thousand deaths. This is the greatest thread in the history of SHtv.

No, it isn't. It's less bountiful for you. That's it and that's all. You've lost touch with it. No big deal. Slamming decades of music is just silly, really.

No...cheating would be if you paid off DJs to play the albums you want played. Hmmmmm....

1966 had Blonde on Blonde, Pet Sounds and Revolver. I'd be overjoyed for an album on that level today.

It's out there. Jacob Collier's "In My Room" is that good. Maybe not for you but it is for me.

Once again: You realize some old dad likely said the same thing about The Beatles in the ‘60s, right?
