If I had a discotheque, I would definitely play it. The beat, steady bass drum, double-time on the hi-hat, and that funky bass line.

I've put on Peace Frog at a dancing party. The whole "Indians scattered on dawn's highway bleeding" bit did not go over well.

Probably not. Just because a song sounds similar to something that came later doesn't mean the latter was influenced by it. Disco grew out of various forms of funk and soul music, and its progenitors were most likely not listening to The Doors all that much, despite certain aspects of the sound coming from psychedelic music. If you ask me, "Peace Frog" has more to do with songs like Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride" and other songs from the same time period than it does with disco.

I think it is fair to say that Peace Frog includes elements that would later be used in disco. But disco pioneers were not influenced by Peace Frog per se. In fact, Peace Frog maybe the most disco song made by a rock group at that time, but you can find many, many antecedents of disco if you look at soul, r&b, funk, salsa records of that time (which are more accurate.) Wanting to ascribe The Doors as disco pioneers would be a very untenable position to take.

With that said, Peace Frog is my favorite Doors song, and Robbie's solo set the template for various great things to happen in the 70s (moog solos, Fripp solos, solos that aren't anchored to pentatonics.) That solo is hugely important.

Prior to this song there had never been drum beats that could be danced to.

I have heard that Peace Frog influenced the "Manchester Sound" of the 80's and 90's (The Charlatans, Inspiral Carpets, etc), which seems plausible.

No disco was not in any way but influenced by this particular Doors number. In fact the Doors influence on disco is zero

Yes, there's certainly a bit of Peace Frog in the singles the Stone Roses released after their debut album.

Let me pre-empty the insanities that might very likely follow and say right now that The Beatles invented disco.

"Peace Frog" was definitely like disco music, but whether it influenced disco music I don't know. I've never heard any disco artists citing it.

Also, "The Changeling" is proper funky disco music; I often find myself singing ...."won't you take me to...FUNKY TOWN".
