meaning who with great talent gets most neglected?

    I feel it's Carole King.

As a forum newbie in which I mainly frequent the progressive rock threads, I have no idea.

I don't believe any. Everyone I've mentioned has received at least a modicum of respectful discussion.

In re Carole King, I've never been able to give her the attention she deserves as my older sister played Tapestry to distraction. I've never owned a copy of the album, but I can sing every word of every song.

  7. Neil Young without a doubt.

Definitely, I think some of the band members have even resorted to self-promoting on this forum!

Known primarily for his hit single "Sunshine" in 1971, Jonathan Edwards I think fits this category. That song was on his first self-titled album, followed by the really tasty "Honky Tonk Stardust Cowboy" in 1972, and then in 1973 the outstanding album shown below.

In 1974 his live album "Lucky Day" was released from a concert in 1973, also a really nice album. He released several more albums in the 70's, including the notably fine "Sailboat" in 1976.

I think of all the members here, I've mentioned him in various past threads the most!

I'd say R&B acts from the 80's onward. R&B vocal groups were a big thing in the 1990's and a lot of them were very talented but you'd have a hard time getting a good discussion going on about them here.

Also lots of musical artists post-2000

As we are all individuals with individual likes and dislikes...........(if you start seeing a thread that is bigger than 7-10 pages it becomes insults and recriminations)

Every artist gets the short shrift on this forum

Of the artists I love "Sonny Boy Williamson II" or Rice Miller. When I get time I plan to start a thread. There's actually a rather large amount of recorded material but assembling it all is not an easy task. But he was just wonderful.

Electronic music in general. I think so many here only associate it with the garbage they’ve stumbled upon that the urge to explore the real talent is lost.
