Smith also charted with a version of Baby, It's You of Shirelles/Beatles fame. It's on that album pictured in the post my quotee(?) quoted.

    Jorge Ben!

Or maybe it's Virginia Rodrigues. I mentioned her in a thread titled; Female Singers That Send Chills Down Your Spine; Up Your Spine? or something like that... and someone responded that to his amazement he thought it was the first time she had been mentioned in the Forums. I concur with his amazement for what it's worth. Her talent is off the charts. A gifted vocalist by any standards.

Without Paulo; or is it Pavlo, I always get it mixed up; who'd even remember Pedro. They must have been late for this photo shoot... no time to even change out of their street clothes. They're very big on Ork.

It's not my fault that I can't name an individual rapper from Run DMC, or their story...

Just was perusing the thread dedicated to his "two albums released this year". Not sure you can do much more than that.

:agree: True, though in retrospect I really shouldn't be singling out this forum considering these guys get short shrift pretty much everywhere else too! Sure, there've been a handful of album-related re-release threads occasionally, but at least they were discussed more seriously here:

Should The Chipmunks Be In The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame?
Do the Chipmunks deserve to be in the RRHOF?

Looking at the poll results now, they actually came fairly close to winning! :righton:

I also think Led Zeppelin during their 1980 final tour are underrated. Probably because of the Yamaha GX-1 synth that was used on In Through The Out Door. Same with Paul McCartney and his 90’s-present band. Maybe because Wix started covering all the orchestra parts on 90’s keyboards and synth modules. Don’t blame him, blame the limited ROM in the sample based keyboards of the time.

I would love to have in-depth discussions about Fleet Foxes, as they're my favorite band, but discussions about them on this forum fizzle out pretty quickly.

Yes, that's why he said, "Every hip hop artist since 1979," because jokers like you having been making similarly tedious statements for years.

Is the word shrift ever used other than with short or shortest in front of it? Does anyone ever get long shrift?
