Monster shark film. Looks like a hoot. Anyone seen it?

Thanks to AMC A-List, I'll see it at some point.

Fully expect it to be awful, though!

Part of me wants to see this, but the CGI looks quite poor on the commercials. I don't know if it would look better in the theater, but right now I am leaning towards not seeing this.

Being an "A-List" guy frees me a lot. Not that I'm eager to waste 2 hours on a bad movie, but at least it's "free"! :D

  7. I'll see this when it comes out on Blu ray in about 2 months.

I would have no problem seeing it for free. :)

I am not confident that I would get $10+ worth of entertainment out of it, though.

I'm not confident I'll get $0.00 worth of entertainment out of it!

Of course, A-List doesn't make movies "free". I pay $20/month for up to 3 movies a week, so I'm still paying a few dollars to go! :)

That's a pretty sweet deal, except that you have to go see The Meg. :)

Jason Statham has six upcoming projects( IMDb ) Spy 2, Hobbs & Shaw, at least two little money earners for the Lock Stock guy.

Since the shark is a megalodon, could it possibly be a remake of Shark Attack 3: Megalodon, or the similarly-titled Megalodon (both released in 2002, coincidentally)? :p

Besides the more well known films he’s been in there’s been so many excellent ones the past few years. 13, Revolver, Parker, Mechanic, Homefront, Blitz, etc. The only bad film was Wild Card.

Looks like fun... but I wonder how much of its thunder has been stolen by SyFy, who have been cranking out movies like these for years. The only difference is this one has a gazillion dollar budget.

This thing spent a loooong time hung up in development hell, too. I read the book ages ago (late '90s/early '00s) and if memory serves, even then the paperback cover claimed that it was "Soon to be a Major Motion Picture."

The opening dating scene was funny, also big fight scene. The Bank Job was excellent.
