Surely you get too many bum notes sitting on that.

I can easily reproduce the chord at the beginning of Roxanne, though. ;)

Ha! I have the same chair in brown leather and fake wood for my desk. Its very comfortable. Think I paid 170 on sale at Office Depot a few years ago

I use a similar chair except I took the wheels off and put on plastic gliders to get it lower. I like the fact that it goes up and down to get the best vertical seating position for a variety of speakers or stands. The harder cushions are better for my old back than soft mushy cushions with lumbar support and head/neck support which I need. The arm supports are also great.

And when a record has an offset vocal track you can just spin it and correct the engineers faux pas.

I throw a cotton blanket over the back to reduce any sound reflections and for comfort.

I tried the POANG but it wouldn't lean back in the perfect way I was looking for.

You'll all think I'm crackers but here's what I use for multichannel listening (in my smallish--12x12-office):

It's a RIO camping chair (my model actually has straight-out armrests). Adjustable backrest angle, head pillow, drink holder, all the amenities  I drape a comfy velour blanket in it for longer sessions. Ear level is perfect and unimpeded for all five floor-standing speakers and I use a soft-topped IKEA storage box as an ottoman. Probably $40 for everything. Best part is I can fold it up and put it in the closet when it's time to get back to work!

The only way I can sit in the sweet spot is to use a portable chair. ( a permanent chair or sofa wouldn't look right there). So I use a bean bag. The cat uses it when it is moved out of the way. So every time I listen to music, there is a little bit of a power struggle.

I use a not so bulky recliner. My head upright with feet out and my ears are in the sweet spot. If I want to just lay back and possibly fall asleep I can recline back and my ears are pretty much hanging just behind the sweet spot. Sometimes you just want to lay back and fall asleep to some great music.
My cat loves to sit on the foot rest next to me legs. A perfect set up for the cat and me. :righton:

I use this one. Comfortable, relatively low back, and a narrow footprint. Mine is not aquamarine (or whatever color this might be), however. Plain old brown for me.

    I use a rattan chair.
If I use a chair that's too comfortable I tend to fall asleep!

    Chair?! ...

I'm usually in the kitchen, making coffee, or putzing about elsewhere in the 15' x 18' living/dining/library/kitchenette space where the stereo is ...

Alright, if necessary (tired), I sit on a donated loveseat I've had forever. Watch movies and NHK from that, usually. Ears just above the level of the P3 tweeters.

Barcelona chairs (reproduction). My local dealer has the real ones which cost an insane amount of money. I think I paid a couple of hundred a piece for mine and they are just as comfortable.

Usually standing (or bopping around,) when I listen. If I sit, that means it's time for bed.

A knock off that Rove Concepts used to make. Had a Stressless Orion before that. Had an Ikea Poang before that. All are comfortable but the Eames doesn't have the headrest to interfere with the sound.

I had a chair like this from Staples and the stuffing in the seat compressed down to nothing after a few years. I ended up sitting on a pillow until for a while until I got a new chair. I'm not a big guy, either.
