No stock at MD/AS/Soundstage Direct/Elusive Sounds.
Some do not even show item at all.
Glad I grabbed an extra today.
When they say "limited" these days they mean it....Tull binder box sets are sky high!!

Amazon seems to have price matched but showing August 10 as in stock date so who knows if they will get it in.

A few have popped up lately but it's been very hard to find for a decent price for about 6 months.

It’s why this this thread was created. Often the same price (or sometimes cheaper if the item has a discount for instore pickup). Plus it’s easier to return something if you have a store nearby. That’s draw over Amazon. Website is not in the same league as amazon.

    RE : SHIPPING

So those of you that have had albums, actual records, or boxed sets shipped, not picked up in store, were satisfied ? Asking as I'm considering my first Wal Mart shipment ( The upcoming Band boxed set ).

    Thanks.

I’ve received at least a half dozen shipments of varying numbers of LPs from Walmart - including coincidentally the MFSL Allmans Fillmore East just a few hours ago. I also bought the Buffalo Springfield box from Walmart as a point of reference for box sets.

I have experienced no packing/shipping issues out of the ordinary.

Now the Allmans LP does have a 1 1/2” seam split along the top from 1 LP, but 1) that’s not particularly rare for MFSL LPs in my experience and 2) Walmart (or distributor) used a high quality LP mailer and the album was completely secure, so IMO the damage likely happened at some point between manufacture and shipping, not during shipping.

The bigger issue with Walmart IMO is their web based shopping experience (search, order cancellation, item description, etc) pales in comparison to Amazon.

I also got the recent Buffalo Springfield box set, which was my first "ship from Wally World" order & was pleasantly surprised as it arrived well-packed & in perfect condition.

I'm sure this is a one-time mix-up, but worth a mention. Tonight I bought the Barnes & Noble exclusive red vinyl edition of the new McCartney album in a Wal-Mart store. It had the B&N hype sticker on it but a Wal-Mart price sticker (28.97) on the back. Good deal, and maybe worth a peek at the vinyl section if you happen to be in a Wal-Mart.

I didn’t know Walmart is still selling vinyl!

How much is this “exclusive red vinyl edition” priced at Barnes & Noble?
Is it available both in-store, and online?

Vinyl section? Walmart? Hmmm, I’ve never seen a vinyl section at a Walmart.

  24. It's less of a section, and more of a shelf or two near the CDs.

Correct. "Section" was a poorly chosen word. At the one near me that has LPs, it's only a couple of racks holding maybe 60-70 LPs.
