I'd think the other biggie after Smile is S&G's Think Too Much.

I saw this show in L.A. and it was amazing. He said the show in Montreal had been recorded, but I'd forgotten all about it until this post. Damn.

The live Genesis series that was supposed to come mainly out of Phil Collins' tape collection.

The Led Zeppelin "Chronological Live Album" Jimmy Page has talked about for 40 years. You could say the 2003 DVD is it, more or less, but that was restricted by what was up to snuff on the video end.

I once heard something about a 5.1 mix of "The Seeds of Love" by Tears for Fears... guess we won't see anything soon, will we?

    Buckingham Nick's album on CD.

I don't think it was actually officially announced. But Lindsey Buckingham made it sound pretty definite in several interviews.

Given the current state of things I don't expect it will happen unless hell freezes over.

I believe all the Nick Drake albums were mastered for SACD but never released.

Radiohead's Kid A my expectation for the possibilities of that album were never going to be met...:)

    Several in my list

    1. An Ian McCulloch/Johnny Marr album that was supposedly recorded and stolen after his second solo album.

    2. Maybe getting resolved : The Smashing Pumpkins Machina/Machina 2 reissue, and general continuation of their reissue series...plus the last album Day For Night which was supposed to come out after Monuments To An Elegy.

    3. Bono stated that after No Line On The Horizon U2 was working on several different projects, one was an album of more traditional Irish material, I'd love to see that actually happen

Stephen Stills - Stephen Stills DVD-Audio

All of the CSN first solo albums were scheduled to be released in this format (CD/DVD-A) with surround mixes. Nash released Songs For Beginners, Crosby released If I Could Only Remember My Name and the last one was Stephen Stills, which never came to pass, although it was listed for sale quite well in advance of the release date. I had my order in for sure (the one I was looking forward to the most) and then it fell through. No idea what happened there.

It kills me to think there is a 5.1 mix of this sitting somewhere and I can't get my hands on it.

I'm not sure if there was an official announcement, but I remember hearing rumors about getting all of the pre-hiatus Steely Dan albums in 5.1. All we ever got was Gaucho.
