So I got an ad for this new upcoming series in my latest issue of The Walking Dead. It looks extremely.... METAL! Announcing MURDER FALCON! - Skybound MURDER FALCON: GET READY TO SHRED! | Press Releases | Image Comics
Isn't your post off-topic? It should have some clear relation to being about music or musicians. Like this:
Somewhat recently, Archie Comics has been moving the characters forward in terms of art style and stories. While some of the comics still feature the comics in the standard Archie House Style that has been used for decades, others have taken the art in a new direction like in the Archie, Jughead and Betty And Veronica. Likewise with the stories, I've recently seen Archie comics with writers I thought would never do an Archie comic, like Mark Waid (excellent writer who made The Flash a first-rate title and his influence on the title continues to this day). Two examples: Life With Archie: This uses the Archie House Style for the art, but shows what would happen if Archie married Betty and if Archie married Veronica (each is set in a different universe and thus both are valid). Archie and the gang are dealing with adult issues (including Archie having to deal with Veronica being his boss, Midge leaving Moose for being abusive [she ends up in a relationship with Jughead], Miss Grundy marries Mr. Weatherbee and then passes away from cancer). Afterlife With Archie: Due to a forbidden spell cast by Sabrina (her aunts severely punish her for this) to bring Hot Dog back to "life" (he becomes a zombie dog), Riverdale is soon overrun with zombies led by Jughead and those that have not been infected are fighting a desperate battle to stay alive. A very dark story that is more like Night Of The Living Dead than an Archie comic.
If they really wanted to modernize it, they would have given Betty a guitar. The kids-grow-up (Like with Archie) sounds like a interesting concept.
