I couldn't disagree more, but that's fine. Opinions vary. :agree:

I am actually all for a completely new version of 'A Hard Day's Night'. If 'A Star Is Born' can have its tenth incarnation,
then AHDN can have its second.
As to who would play the individual members of The Beatles, that's is not up to me. Paul's grandfather can be played
by either Henry Winkler or Wilford Brimley.

    :--)

Paul's grandfather can be played by PAUL! :) (Wilfred Brambell was only 52 in AHDN!)

No. I'm a "younger audience," and I don't want the film (I've actually never seen it) to be colorized. It would still show the time period and its age, so colorizing it wouldn't "modernize" it to the point where more people now will begin to watch it.

If you've never seen it, what are you waiting for? It's a freakin' great movie! As a rock and roll movie, definitely one of the best. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I mean it's The Beatles after all. Even if it's only in black and white ;-)

I would enjoy it in black and white. It's historical. I have lots of Beatles albums, so I'm a fan. I just haven't found the time for the movie yet.

    No colorization!
Invert and run it backwards to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon.

...just a thought... so it's OK to remix classic Beatles albums radically, but not OK to Colorized "A Hard Days Night" Film? Hmm...very interesting. Doesn't the same rules apply?

Most younger people that would be interested in seeing it would already be cool that it's black and white. Colorizing wouldn't suddenly create any new market for it.

I certainly don't need a color version, but like all these things, if you make a color version it doesn't make the original go away. If you want to watch the original, then watch it. If you don't want color or don't like the idea, you can safely ignore it.

No, that's one of the unreleased Deja Vu photo shoots with all the alternate bass players Neil and Graham were arguing between.

As a Millennial, I disagree! I would hardly call people my age reluctant to check out older movies and music :)

turn the knob that would be sufficient for most if they want a B&W feel...

Yeah that line was a bit too generalized. Thing is, I know quite a few 20-somethings and as a rule most of them don't seem to care much for old movies. Of course that doesn't mean everyone's like that, but I think a lot are.

    Oh, Hell no!

Nothing tops the Criterion Collection Blu-Ray version. A beautiful, B&W restoration with lots of cool extras.

Will they watch something like Singin' in the Rain or The Bridge on the River Kwai because they're in color? Are they more likely to get into Bus Stop than Some Like It Hot? Is Help! turning on the youth of today, where A Hard Day's Night has failed?

If they just don't seem to care much for old movies, it's hard for me to see how an inferior, painted-on colorization is going to overcome their disinterest.
