Are there any Beatles remixed songs done in the last 20 years that you prefer to the original stereo?

I will probably regret this and you probably won't go for it but would you take a look at my equipment profile and tell me if there is anything that doesn't make sense (or should be corrected) given that this is a medium fi setup?

Steve, you once mentioned that Motown records in general could helped with one (I think one) simple EQ move. Would this be something in the upper mids?

From your time at MCA, could you give us a timeline of the analog to digital converters you have used for Red Book CD? Did you start with stock Sony converters? Didn't you have a Wadia at some point? What do you use at Marsh Mastering? Stuff like that. Thanks!

I could but this falls under proprietary info, sorry

I enjoyed the Wadia, thought it was a great sounding unit.

Are there any remastered projects that you finished for Audio Fidelity that unfortunately won’t see the light of day because of their demise. I remember you mentioned working on Clapton’s From The Cradle.

Mr Hoffman, have you ever wondered "why"?
This is something that has always caught my attention. If a product can have "quality" in every sense of the word, why not choose the best audio option or the "right" people to achieve it.

The "why" doesn't matter. People with tin ears are all over the music industry, usually in charge. Just a fact of life. That's why audiophile labels began in the first place. Back in the Golden Age of Hi Fi of course this was not so. The people at the record companies had taste and a good sense of what sounded good. When those people started dying out, a new breed came in and you know the rest..

How much more expensive is it to do the mastering your way, or the Audiophile Way, instead of the standard practices?
