I hate Sugar and I hate Read My Body even more. I like Betrayed, Forever, Little Caesar, and somewhat Rise To It. Everything else-garbage.
Each to his own. Since this thread led me back to this album it's become a top 5 KISS album for me. HITS and Psycho Circus are the two albums to go way up in my estimation along with half of Carnival Of Souls. The two that I realised are not as good as I thought they were are Rock And Roll Over and Love Gun. Still like them but they're definitely middle of the pack now.
Cheers guys! Just re-reading some of this. I honestly cannot believe I, the most ADD person I’ve ever met, got through every single KISS song. Amazing. I think this was a great thread; a triumph for SHMF whether the majority recognize it or not. Great peeps with terrific insights and decorum throughout. Everyone should be proud that participated.
Great thread & a job well done, Godshifter. Here's to hoping that The End Of The Road gives us a few more songs to discuss!
Hot in the shade was my second Kiss album after Smashes, Thrashes and Hits. Really enjoyed it and picked up a large part of their catalogue as a result. Enjoyed pretty much all of the releases after this one (including Psycho Circus) apart from Monster. The mastering/production let it down big time. Got HITS on the go now, still sounds good to me and I wouldn't remove any of the tracks as back in the day it was all new to me and I wasn't able to judge based on all the previous albums. Not sure i've enough time to go back the beginning of this thread but I'll keep an eye on it from now.
So Paul has more or less shot down the chance they record a final album before "The End of the Road" Not that I thought they would record new music though PAUL STANLEY Doesn't Think KISS Will Release Any New Music Before Calling It Quits
I still think there’ll be a new song at least, to put on a greatest hits if nothing else... And here’s what I don’t like about his reasoning, it really discounts the diehards and only cares about the average fan...oh, well, I guess that’s what the Kiss Kruise is for...
That has been their mentality for 20 years now since they got a bunch of average/casual fans back on board with the reunion. While that number has dwindled since its still clearly the market they want the most since its were the $$$ is since they will always get $$$ out of the hardcores. I also feel like he just comes up with lazy excuses as to why they don't play new songs or deep cuts almost as if he thinks every KISS fan wants to hear them play the same 20 songs every year.
Spoiler: Eddie's List This is Eddie's list: 20-Lover Her all I can A Million to One Larger than Life Rocket Ride Strange Ways I Want You Magic Touch 100,000 Years Creatures of the Night C'mon and Love Me Rock Bottom (Live) Flaming Youth Got to Choose Mr. Speed King of the Nighttime World Black Diamond Love Gun Strutter Deuce (Live) 1-Detroit Rock City Interesting list - quite a few deep cuts.
I didn't know the list and going on what he said and didn't say I tried to guess his #1. I got it down to two songs. One was his #1 but I guessed the other.

I've been out of the loop a while. Where and when is that convention? Also anyone see any dates for the Farewell Tour? I gotta hit at least one. 45 years 45 shows. Though I started in 74 not 3. @GodShifter how many KISS shows? 1 or 2? Hundred that is. Actually I probably met you. Yup I was on my 30 something and met a guy who was on his 68th I think he said. It was around the reunion. Was probably you lol jk. But I was at a couple of the same shows as @vamborules .
