I don't agree re: legacy. His legacy is set in stone and he's charming and well loved. A bad song or two...and even that is all a matter of individual perspective, won't mean a thing to how he'll be remembered.

I'm almost thinking it's only his hardcore fans who remember (what they think are) the misfires. Broadsheet, for example, means nothing damaging to me. It's a soundtrack, that's it.

Broadsheet? Hmmm. Many would agree, although they might spell it different: BroadSh*t... :hide:

So . . . general question: If there are 5000 hand-numbered RSD copies, why is it also on sale on Amazon? Are those part of the 5000? Is this production more than 5000 and just the RSD copies numbered?

That's exactly my point! :D To me, a rank amateur McCartney fan, it doesn't provoke strong feelings at all. I have much stronger negative feelings about Magical Mystery Tour...in fact, find it appalling, but that movie hasn't damaged The Beatles legacy in my eyes.

I really do think hardcore fans may tend to overthink things.

    Quantum Tunnel personnel:

    Ringo Hendrix- comb and paper
    Dr. Pepper- Electric Triangle Player
    Planckera- playing celery and carrots
Arnold Grove- yaks and Bip Bop samples

That'd be the most wicked epic music since Two Virgins right there if I do say so myself!

    ;)

Only if I get an Electric Triangle solo in each performance!

Remember amazon also had listings for the last batch of colored vinyl reissues from the McCartney camp - and those orders weren’t fulfilled... [cue ominous organ sounds]

Of course! Just don't be offended if I go back and re-record it myself upon occasion. :D

Just to find out they aren't stocking it or decided to sell on eBay instead.

There’s an inherent logical problem in that statement...

Seems Arnie is being “the quiet one.”

(or, more likely, “the sane one”) ;)

Whatever Paul's intent, Egypt Station is manifestly the work of a man aware of his own mortality and increasingly conscious of the passage of time. That sense just permeates the album. To me that's a big part of what gives the album such an emotional kick for me. In some ways it's the most revealing thing McCartney's ever recorded, and it's dealing with pretty heavy stuff. That's partly why I have learned to live with Fuh You -- it's a useful, lighthearted break.

I must be the cute one, since the cute one overdubs other's instruments.

You and the good doctor can fight it out as the Smart and Funny ones.;)
    Jinksy is "the fifth one"

And in the morning after making your debut album you all made love together for the first time. Just, please, don't show me the album cover - although with Arnie involved it might need a gatefold sleeve.

Amazon's release date is November 16, so probably not hand numbered and maybe additional copies. Time will tell.

If I'm going to watch someone dance around for 4 and a half minutes, she better have dollar bills sticking out of her G-string.

In fact, here is our first single now!

Excellent work, boys. Planckera is an absolute BEAST playing those carrots. We rawk!!!

The album comes out in three years and includes several remixes of this track. Hope you enjoy.;)

Well, if I was to line up outside of a store, I'd choose Amoeba over any other store in the LA area if I can't get confirmation from any other store beforehand. For me it's the safest bet and I know Amoeba would never do me dirty :D

So what I'm thinking is that there'll be 5,000 numbered Come On To Me / I Don't Know 45s for RSD and there'll be a regular unnumbered edition that comes out a week earlier. Knowing me and my liking for 45's, numbered copies and these songs, I'll have to get the limited edition. But 5,000 worldwide? sheesh.

    Oh wow man!

Thank you, thank you, a thousand times THANK YOU!

Much appreciated! And so far, I've liked the "album" I put together between the two. For my ears it really flows together quite nicely. I particularly have liked opening with Station 1, then I Don't Know, and then Alligator...for some reason it just really...well like I said above, it flows together nicely for me.

    But thank you very much!
