    You may have trouble stuffing the Canare into those small openings. The last amp I had with speaker connections like those accepted banana plugs. Are you sure those won't take bananas?

    What makes you think spades won't work?
    The terminals are a bit small but spades come in different widths

    My old 90 Philips FR-930 had those same screw type plugs. They don't take any plug. You have to screw them closed on the bare cable.

    The amp in question is a HK-PM650 I believe. The amp I owned that would accept banana plugs was a Harman Kardon PA2200.

    They accommodate the 14 gauge wire I used.

    Screw-set, but I soldered.
