Boy, that's a real find if they actually got the masters for mix 1. Ian basically wanted to rewrite history and it's hard to imagine that anyone gave a damn about it 10, 20, 30 years after the fact since he sure didn't.
they will boot anything ... i sent a boot of the Elvis complete rca albums back... book and all the other bits and pieces
Yeah, unfortunately that's one of the fakes. And you only get the CDs (no DVD no surround mix and no Hi-Res) apparently...
I've never had an issue with any orders from importcds as far as bootleg music. I will definitely pay attention to anything I order from them in the future. Did you both contact importcds and request to return the bootlegged music and a refund?
I had two cds that broke in half just taking them out of the case, and they replaced them, but i just lost confidence in them as a seller. The elvis box wasn't them, but shortly after i saw they were stocking the boot.
That's too bad. I've really cut back on ordering from importcds. Now that they have to charge sales tax the prices just aren't that great. The shoddy packaging and long delivery times hasn't been a good thing either.
For certain positions they have the best price here, and I never had a problem with them returning money if media is defected (happened once). Taxes.. yeh, o well.. I am sure they are for roads and schools
Oh yes! Sorry I failed to mention that. They had no idea as a seller I am more than certain, but risk is risk and buyer beware of course.
Amazon UK says mine will arrive by Nov 29th. OTOH Amazon USA says Electric Ladyland is supposed to come tomorrow. I guess that will have to tide me over.
Going back and forth between the SW Stereo Remix and the Original Chrysalis disc is really something else. Hard to believe I'm listening to the same album, the remix is just awesome. It's night and day.
I got mine today. Listened to the DVDa disc so far. Really impressed. Loved the soundstage, drums nicely centred. The guitar breaks sounded so crisp. Excited to listen to the rest over the weekend.
I'm in the Baltimore area and I pre-ordered from Amazon. My copy isn't supposed to arrive for another week and several other titles are running way long; apparently because the walls of the Amazon warehouse there fell down in the flood that occurred there last Fri., I believe? Several people died - a tragedy.
Guess what has just arrived this morning! I have three unread pages on this thread but I'll get back to them once I finished at least one listen/one read
Mine arrived half an hour ago, it's going to have to wait, got my Electric Ladyland set to go through first.
