Calling all Beatles fans taking part in the forthcoming Favourite Closing Songs competition.

There is a 3-song cap for all entering groups and so far, eleven songs have been nominated.

Please 'help' us by voting for your top three to determine which go forward. :righton:

I think that will be a shoe-in. So I just voted Money and All You Need Is Love.

Would have voted for "The End" if an option.

Would've voted for the threesome 'Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End' (which is one full piece to me), but I took 'All You Need Is Love'.

A day in the Life is spoiled by the inner groove. The version from the blue album would probably win it for me.

I'll be Back has this cool mysterious fade out like the whole album was a dream. That's my favourite.

Run for your Life is a great joke that takes you down to the dirty ground of life. That's my number two. I don't have a number three.

Ahh, but we in the USA never had to skip the inner groove. Lucky us! So definitely "A Day In The Life" at #1. Mono, Capitol.

A Day in the Life is as good as it gets. I still consider the medley as the closing track for Abbey Road with Her Majesty being more of a hidden novelty track like the inner groove of MMT.

If "The End" had been listed, as it was intended to, instead of the goofy "Her Majesty," that would have gotten my vote.

Just my two cents ... but if "Tomorrow Never Knows" and "A Day In the Life" are that far ahead of everything else, it would seem only two need to go into the playoffs

We do need the third. It panned out as 250 songs plus the six. The other big groups and solo singers have three each and... can you imagine the furore if only two Beatles songs were in and everybody else had three? :agree:

I voted "Get Back", as it was also the closing of the Rooftop Concert!

"A Day In The Life" & "Tomorrow Never Knows" are a no-brainer's!

There does seem to be contention on Her Majesty OR The End for the Abbey Road closer - which is it OR are we talking UK and US release difference?

The reason I didn't include The End was because I saw it was Her Majesty last song Abbey Road via Best Ever Albums.

I can fit both into the group stage to appease all!
