I think we can make an exception in this case I like that the thread blends audio systems and decor. As it should.
Me, too. Some minimal routine maintenance required with vintage...but many joyous (or at least amusing) views. Seriously, I mostly listen to music on the '73 Rig - sometimes seems the only device not connected to the internet. I am a Blessed man.
Yes you are These post are the ones I can say to the wife “CHECK THIS OUT!” And I get a “NICE!” Out of her, And others of course, beautiful spaces throughout this awesome thread.

So what's the fee to come and hang out for a weekend? Just curious, how many mid-century houses are there in St. Louis, Mo. Aside from your unreal restoration, are they a rarity? I know next to nothing about your part of the US.
Maybe I'm off-base\topic here but I enjoy looking at the systems but I also pay attention to the living spaces. It's like looking into the everyday lives of people you've never met but would like to hang with.
In my Office, it's kind'a difficult to take a good "descriptive" photo: The Office is where I listen to digital discs (...and watch the "news" and YouTube). It's a 2.1 room, but some day I (might) add two rear channels. AUDIO: Arcam UDP411; B&K Reference 50 (2 of its channels); B&K Reference 200.7 (2 of its channels); B&W stereo speakers*; REL Q401E subwoofer ...currently "between" turntables - 'cause I'm listening all the time on the '73 Rig. * I think they might be Nautilus 804 - I've had'em a very long time. VISUAL: Optoma rear projector; Screen Innovations motorized screen BONUS TRACKS: My (actual**) daughter started out on the '64 Silvertone & 45s... ...but has since graduated to a '62 Saratoga & albums. ** SEE POSTS #11923-11926
BUMP ↑ This guy's dad was the original 1951 architect of my house (true): "Very cool. Wikipedia says that Harris Armstrong was "...considered the dean of modernists active in St. Louis, Missouri." It does not reference this particular incident depicted in the photo, where his son was set upon by angry traditionalists." Subagent, Today at 12:25 PM #11913
