Metallica - Metallica (1991) [DFI France Jan 1992 pressing) - expected this one to be UK '91 but was not disappointed by the sound and condition, great sounding vinyl.
The Doors - The Doors (1967) [Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab 1981] - this one is on the way still. I read that it doesn't get the praise on SHF but out of my Doors fan purposes I couldn't resist to bid for it on a very decent price and nm- LP condition according to seller.

Sting's "Soul Cages" (my favorite Sting album, I only had the original CD).
Muddy Water's "Folk Singer" (amazing disc, such an alive recording).
Jason Isbell & 400 Unit "Live at the Ryman" (parts of this album are horrible in terms of the mix or mastering - muddy and far too much crowd noise).

Arrived yesterday and now playing. I've never been a Metallica fan. The only albums from them that I had until yesterday are the Black Album, which I bought thanks to the radio-friendliness of "The Unforgiven" and "Nothing Else Matters", and "S&M" because I've always liked those classical/rock mashups. Both on CD.

I've always considered "...And Justice For All" their most balanced work between heaviness and radio-friendliness, but, as a bass player myself, the mix is a real turn-off for me.

I know that "Master Of Puppets" is considered their magnum opus and actually "Orion" has been one of my few favorite Metallica tunes, so I said to myself "why not?". Now I'm listening to this album in its entirery for the first time and, while it won't make me a rabid Metallica fan overnight, it's true that it's a seriously solid album. I'm enjoying it a lot.

I would like to go record shopping with you sometime! Geography probably prohibits that from happening however. You somehow always find good stuff cheap. In Canada we're crazy for imports.

That Absolute Elsewhere record is so naff (trying to feel like I'm in the UK record shopping), they put Bill's name on a sticker to his objection. I do like your alternate name for the record however "In Beach of Ancient Gods"
