Woodstock 1994 was arguably the greatest festival to occur in the last 25 years...

When the riots started at Woodstock 1999 I was in the middle of saying that it was our generations Altamont when the refrigeration units on the tractor trailers exploded sending a huge fireball into the night sky. I THOUGHT they were going to burn down the stages but the riot squad got there in time and the looters got tired..

The next day looked like Ground Zero.. I was “lucky” enough to make the front page of the paper... BIZARRO

Woodstock from my too young to be there perspective was an event that transcended rock concerts and was about much more than music. To me it's doubtful 99% of current attendees would even be able to comprehend such a thing in this era of conformity and corporate rule. It'll be an excuse for kids to party where profit is king, maybe accompanied by a little police violence.

It'll probably make money, which is the only measurement of success today.
The original I believe lost money and the success was measured in communal cooperation.
At least that's the story I bought.
