The Who - The Kids Are Alright - questions

I've probably watched the move "The Kids Are Alright" about 100 times since first seeing it as a very young teen in the theater...

Two quick questions:

1. During "A Quick One" from the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus -- what was the deal with the water shooting up onto to Keith during final part of the song? I know it was done for dramatic effect, but was there someone under/around the kit spraying it up there or did Keith trigger this somehow? Yes, that's a pretty inane question.

2. Rick Danko is mentioned in the end credits -- Did he ever appear in the movie? As mentioned, I've watched this movie a bunch of times, but I don't think I've ever noticed him. If he ended up in an outtake, did that footage ever show up anywhere?

I think Keith used to dump a cup of water on his drums sometimes for that splashing effect.

 

Whats the story behind that brief clip where Moon is laying on the floor covered in what looks like cake and seems ready to remove his pants but a hand from off screen waves "no" at him? Just a random moment of debauchery?

 

One of your questions already has a thread (from 2007). I think this has the answer:

His scene was deleted from the final print and I've never seen it turn up anywhere. I'd say it was probably for the better, as I'm sure it was just another drunken session in LA.

 

Not really random as Jeff Stein was there filming him out and about in LA.
It was done in some sex parlour that I can't recall the name of.

 

Iirc the Rick Danko missing scene was just of he and Keith playing cards in his Malibu home .......... Where much of the Ringo scenes were also filmed at.

When I saw the version of Baba O’Riley from this movie I have hardly ever listened to the studio version since.

They are WASTEEEEDDDD!

 

The scene with Keith undoing his pants on the floor was during his birthday party at a restaurant - she was the girl who popped out of the cake.
