I’ve recently noticed a tick/pop at 25-26 seconds on Nothing Else Matters. I have my original CD that’s in mint condition, and I also notice it happens to the Spotify version, and I looked it up on YouTube and got the same tick.

Am i nuts or do you guys hear it too? Did they ever fix it?

I apologize if this is in the wrong place or has been discussed in the past, I couldn’t find anything about it.

I've never noticed it before but now that you mention it you can clearly hear it with headphones on. It almost sounds like an extra note being plucked accidentally as it sounds more like a musical error than a mechanical one.

Hmmmm. I just listened to it on Apple Music (multiple times) and didn't notice anything.

That reminds me of a "skip" on the riff into the bridge section on "Trapped Under Ice." I remember bringing it back in to the store in the early 90s, them cranking it for ten minutes in front of the other customers, and concluded it was just a pop/production glitch, exposed by the CDs high resolution.

Does "Trapped Under Ice" even have a bridge?

The skip is a half second before this.

This is during the intro finger-picking section. I hear it as a snap of the guitar string, not any kind of production artifact.

This. Always heard it, never thought of it as an artifact, just the nature of plucking string (maybe accidentaly) with fingernails.
