    I'll take this one.

Pete wanted The Mastering Lab to cut the lacquers and once they were cut and an LP production dupe was made, the tapes went into storage until our host found them.

    I was wondering that too.
I visited North Wales about 18 months ago and I totally fell in love with the place.
I would love to live there someday.

Cardiff’s did then we went north and all over. Can’t spell the names of most places we visited. Basically I was there chasing a girl but loved the country and the people.

The main reason we went was to visit Portmeirion where they filmed the Prisoner because I'm a huge fan.
We stayed in a local community run hotel called Y Pengwern in Ffestiniog.
We visited a couple of local town/villages and also got to experience the beauty of Snowdonia.

Hi Steve, any stories regarding the making of the Moondance vinyl? Love the sound, it's one of my favorites weekend listens...

I loved the story of the Icky Thump 1" reels and Kevin Gray's clever solve--that was crazy. It would be great if Jack White let you have a go with Elephant, I imagine that one is another analog work.

    Thanks!

Hi Steve, anything you would like to share regarding the mastering of the SACD hybrid "Breezin" by George Benson? The AF is en-route to Casa Buchanan.

Well the Gastwirt remasters of Jackson Browne left the echo off which was on
the original CDs and maybe LPs
but that may not have been Joe's call to do so.

    Could SH enlighten me?
What could T.L. or T.L.M. mean when written on a master tape box by an engineer. Is this something related to a master? Something like OTM? Out to Master?
    Thank you

Easy and fun, had a visitor from Canada with us and she filmed the session.

Traditionally TL would mean “tail leadered” and HL would mean “head leadered.” HTL means “head and tail leadered.” No idea about yours.

    Hi Steve,
Yes that makes sense. Thank you. What exactly do these terms mean?

Sounds like you had an excellent time - just received a copy of the AF version - a listening must for today. Link for the video?

I'm also guessing you are a bit constrained on talking about the remastering session too?

Actually I didn't much care on that day, no secret voodoo mastering. Very nice sounding original 30 ips analog tape sound to work with. Not much needed..

Why do most rock albums post 1990 sound so harsh?
