That's the first one that came to mind for me and the exact photo of Devo I would use for the iconic image of them. Only thing is, the image above is reversed. Should be this way.

Also love the sister shot from this session with the domes down. First time I saw the image below was when it was used on The Australia/NZ only release of Best of Devo Vol 1 in 1986.

The original package with the 1972 calendar had the green-tinted photo on the back, but if you removed the calendar the remaining back cover would be the same imaged tinted red. I'm guessing that your sister must have removed the poster, but there may have been some post-1972 pressings with no calendar.

For better or worse, Nikki Nichols defined Todd Rundgren for the ages:

(Nichols was the costume and makeup artist. Todd let Nichols use him as his canvas, and let's face it - it worked.)

...like Gered Mankowitz did with his photo of Kate Bush in the pink top.

(Kate later said of this image "I suppose it's sexy because you can see my t*ts.")

It's all here, RnR's inclusive nightmare: the anguish, pathos, pointless optimism, sordid hypocrisy, transparent commercialism, Dickensian social orphanage, Ratched's medicated nation, and a patronly love of women's undergarments.

Incidentally, you people have nailed some great ones - really enjoyed this thread.

The iconic image of Patti Smith has to be one by Robert Mapplethorpe:

This to me will always be the iconic image of Janis Joplin:

Just last week I was in a bar in Chicago called Martyrs and there's a large painting on wall of members of the "27 Club", and of course this image was the one they had chosen for Janis.
