Another fave, stark and direct, which I've been meaning to put up in my "screening room" for a while. I went into the film on original release not knowing much beyond the poster, and ended up seeing it twice - no small expense for a poor student.

 

this still freaks me out!

 

You're right - and the "Manhattan" poster looks pretty good despite the absence of a major picture component.

But that "Purple Rose" poster is like 2/3rds review blurbs! Those might help sell tickets but they don't add up to an appealing poster!

 

I´ve seen several versions of The Princess Bride but this one is always the best:

 

Wouldn’t mind a framed poster of this Fritz Lang beauty.

Although I've seen a few variations as well. Great poster and they are all very nice!

Never saw that one, you are 100% right.
Scored a different one for free at a Mon/Pop VHS rental place and gave it to a friend who loved it as much as you did; he was overjoyed
