Saw them on SNL...did nothing for me. Sounds like Zeppelin? Not to me...at all. Sounded more like Triumph.

Also saw them on SNL. The lead singer needs vocal lessons as he kept going out of tune without autotune. Better then a lot of 'rock' music these days but GVF do nothing for me. Perhaps it's a generational thing.

I saw the SNL tunes as well. I'll say that I get the appeal and see why some like them, but didn't do a whole lot for me, and I like hard rock

Just introduced to Greta Van Fleet. Zeppelin wannabes without any great original songs......pass.

Come up with some great songs and the gimmick worked. Then I might tune in.

This the last thing I am going to post about the stupid Cult. I wish I had never mentioned them.

Electric has nods to AC/DC yeah but Zep no.
The Dreamtime and Love albums are nothing like Zep or AC/DC. Sonic Temple is 80s hard rock with a Bob Rock sugar coating. Beyond that they haven't sounded like anyone but themselves, unless being 'rock' automatically makes you a Zep or AC/DC imitator (**which it doesn't).

I don't like GVF so far, and don't think they'll end up being as interesting or as successful as Kings of Leon, for example. I liked KoL right from the first album, and they ended up evolving quite a bit.

But - "all too young for me" - what does that mean? Who cares about their age?

I've got their "1st" album, (1st couple of EPs re-released actually), & their 2nd album. I feel like they have potential, but they lack depth, they need more originality, & they really need better songwriting. The 1st album sounds better overall to me, the 2nd sounds like they're already treading water. We shall see.....

I was into it, until the second song seemed to go on forever. I finally gave up and shut it off.

Watch the performance of Black Smoke Rising that they just did on Saturday Night Live and tell me you still don't hear it.

Saw and heard them for the first time on SNL.

It's not just the music - it's the whole affected look that is so bothersome. I can't say I hate the music because I like so many of their influences, but I can't think of any reason why I'd want to listen to this.

For anybody interested in post-'90s music with helium vocals that draws on '70s influences but at least has some originality about it, I'd suggest Mars Volta.

NO! thank you, the singer is annoying as hell... I don't care if they sound like zep, the awful thing of this band is see Frodo from Lord of the Rings trying to imitate R. Plant, same gestures and so on... Awful band, I pass.

:::...this was for real: clock alarm buzz off while I was awakening last week or so...I thought: "...can't recognize that LZ tune...".

As I got up to get to the bathroom, DJ says: "amazing young band, etc etc etc..." then, I recalled have read on Twitter "...this young LZ tribute band makes another meme-on-twitter - "GVF, Milennials find LZ..." then I thought: "...ah, now I get it..."
