Jennifer Lopez??!! Okay, Bryan. In any event, going to see him live for the first
time here next week. Wonder if he will play any new material?

Reckless and Into The Fire were solid 5 star albums. Waking Up The Neighbours was a 4 star effort which was propped up a bit by former glories but for me he's done nothing of note since. He seemed to trade in his rock credentials for some pop wings.

I agree - very good album, weighed down by an overload of songs.. 15 is just way too much. Perhaps if presented in a 2LP format it might have worked better. (As it turns out it actually did get a limited release this way. Audio Fidelity also remastered it in 2012 on 180g.) Haven't taken to anything he's done since.

Got an e-mail from his management company last week....he doesn't have a label deal here in the States, so it's only being released digitally here!
Have to get vinyl and CD through his website in Canada.

A lot can happen in a little less than five weeks....I would think Amazon would get it in stock eventually, even if it is as an import!

reading the liner notes for the ULTIMATE hits release it seems like his label was putting that out and that was it for him in the states as they no longer care about the cd format

Will be listening to this on Spotify as soon as I am done with the latest Solange album

    Shine A Light

JUST going to throw it out there: Bryan Adams duetting with Jennifer Lopez is one of the most left-field but brilliant musical moves of 2019. Who'd have ever dreamt up such a thing? They work in harmonious glory together on jubilant up-tempo ballad That's How Strong Our Love Is, the second track of Adams's 14th album. The record is a summery ode to the kind of music that made him a household name. There's a confidence in the Canadian rocker's latest offering, the courage of knowing that his greatest charts days were maybe in the 1980s and 1990s, but believing in his style and skill to not change a thing. This album could have been released in the early 1990s, and that's absolutely fine in this case. Filled to the brim with rocky ballads and fast-paced pop-rock belters with familiar hooks, his raspy voice cuts against the twangy guitars and verse-to-chorus-to-bridge build-ups that climax with epic key changes. Adams is unchanged and as catchy as ever.

    8/10
