I have Currents on vinyl, which I like a lot but listening to Innerspeaker now, completely different sound, which is awesome! They at least have some range.

I much prefer Innerspeaker and Lonerism to Currents. Curious to see what their next album will be like.

Love Tame Impala. Just don't love the crushed dynamics on these albums. Hoping the next one will sound a little better but...

I bought Currents. Didn't see what all the fuss was about. I might have to give it another listen. It was on a year end list. Maybe a bunch of them. I saw it enough to be curious. But, I can't say I was taken with anything one it.

I really like the 3 albums so far. I'm wondering will he blow it with the next one.
An album with loads of guest rappers & dance music producer collaborations......:hurl:

I was going to say I have no idea what that means...but I do think I hear it on Innerspeak. It's kind of a dulled sound? Does that make sense? is that what you mean? if so, I hear it. it's like it's stunted...

Can't believe Tame Impala doesn't have more traction on this forum.

I like them and have the 3 albums.

Pretty disappointed by the vinyl, though - the sound isn't any different from the CDs.

that's a great song too, but Innerspeak is really a better album and I'm only half way through the B side on the second album. wow!

Lonerism is my favorite, especially the song Elephant.

The singer's voice reminds me of John Lennon's.

Haven't tried the CDs. I won't buy a CD if I can get it on vinyl unless it's an SACD.

Brickwalling. Way too much compression and limiting on these albums (during recording and again when mastering) which makes the loudest and the quietest parts of the songs all basically the same volume. Results: crushed dynamics.

looks like there's a single and a double LP version of Lonerism. Any reason to get the double LP? I've always preferred a single to a double unless it's a 45rpm pressing.

::: A Lot of festivals around my city this year, and many young people very excited about it as Tame Impala and Chemical Brothers are headliners...as I've read in social media, people from other states are coming specially for Tame Impala only!

Julian Lennon has told Kevin Parker that he sounds a lot like his dad. Don't know if Kevin took that as a compliment or an insult. Funny since Kevin is actually Australian.

just bought it on amazon, but the single lp version, not double. tired of double albums that don't need to be double albums. unless they're 45rpm I don't see the necessity. maybe I'm wrong.

  24. First two albums were great, Currents sucked, and I’m not paying them much mind anymore.
