Tommy Flanagan, John Coltrane, Kenny Burrell, Idrees Sulieman - The Cats Alluring performances from Flanagan.
Found another djangologie in the bargains. This one is a 14 track clarinet special! djangologie 11 [1940] - Django Reinhardt (EMI/Pathe) CD featuring Noel Chiboust Et Son Orchestre (1 track), Hubert Rostaing-Aime Barelli Et Leur Orchestre (2 tracks), Django Et Le Quintette Du Hot Club De France (11 tracks) There is an excellent sound on these 1940 recordings. The first track features Noel Chiboust on clarinet. The other 13 tracks feature the clarinet playing of Hubert Rostaing.
I like the way that somebody at the record company's art department was thinking literally! Brilliant.

Jackie McLean (as) + Charles Tolliver (tp) + Herbie Hancock (p) + Cecil McBee (b) + Roy Haynes (dr) .... again the near perfect McLean + Tolliver (what an underrated trumpet player !!) frontline and the "back end " aka McBee + Haynes also no relapse .... beautiful sounding original mono release (part of bunch of mint Blue Note mono platters I was lucky enough to inherit a couple of years ago) ....

One Night In Indy - Wes Montgomery (Resonance) CD featuring The Eddie Higgins Trio Only catching up with this 2016 release now. Maybe not the most essential of his Resonance albums but I like it, and it is without doubt a worthy addition to the Wes Montgomery discography.
Jackie McLean's best album (that's saying something, but all imo of course) and how I wish to own an original copy one day (mono or stereo, I don't care). I have the Connoisseur CD and while not sounding bad, it's a tad bright. My father has the original Mono, too, and it sounds really great.

(LP CBS "Contemporary Master Series" Dutch Press CBS-88626) 1983 .... thereof the performance recorded July 14th. 1964 @ Kohseinenkin Hall Shinjuku, Tokyo .... Miles Davis (tp) + Sam Rivers (ts) + Herbie Hancock (p) + Ron Carter (b) + Tony Williams (dr) .... although the stint of Sam Rivers with the Miles Davis 5tet was of short duration some memorable music was crafted and both musicians - obviously on the verge to embark on different journeys - sound positively challenged through their contrasting approach .... released as double LP (together with "Miles In Berlin") this dead silent dutch CBS vinyl press from 1983 has outstanding sound .... btw really dig the cover art of this CBS "Contemporary Masters Series" ....
