I wouldn’t call these bad lyrics, but if you analyze them, it’s weird. They’re from The Turtles’ “Happy Together”. “No matter how they tossed the dice, it had to be The only one for me is you, and you for me” Can you see how that last part says the same thing twice? Yet it gives the impression that it means “The only one for me is you, and the only one for you is me.” But that’s not what it means. It means “The only one for me is you, and the only one for me is you.” That’s why I say it’s weird.
