Oh yeah, another one from "Loves You", I think this album pretty much owns this thread - I like it anyway despite the silly lyrics I want to pick you up Rock you back and forth and make you smile I want to hold you close for a while Pat pat pat pat pat her on her butt butt She's going to sleep be quiet Pat pat pat pat pat her on her butt She's going to sleep Little baby go to sleep
Surprised nobody mentioned "Student Demonstration Time", how about this verse, "America was stunned on May 4, 1970 When rally turned to riot up at Kent State University They said the students scared the Guard Though the troops were battle dressed Four martyrs earned a new degree The Bachelor of Bullets"
Thanks, that’s funny. I love Bob Weir’s cool guitar playing and also his passionate singing, but he ain’t no lyricist.
"The soul of a woman was created below!" Dazed And Confused - Led Zeppelin Did Jimmy or Robert pen that line?
I am Iron Man Has he lost his mind? Can he see or is he blind? Can he walk at all Or if he moves will he fall? Is he alive or dead? Has he thoughts within his head? We'll just pass him there Why should we even care? He was turned to steel In the great magnetic field When he traveled time For the future of mankind Nobody wants him He just stares at the world Planning his vengeance That he will soon unfurl Now the time is here For Iron Man to spread fear Vengeance from the grave Kills the people he once saved Nobody wants him They just turn their heads Nobody helps him Now he has his revenge Heavy boots of lead Fill his victims full of dread Running as fast as they can Iron Man lives again!
You know the line is good "I used to be a little boy so old in my shoes" - come on, that's not fair chopping a line in half. That's a good line - plenty of other Corgan crappy lines. LOL
I love him but lyrically this song is just the worst ever. Lenny Kravitz, "Fly Away" I wish that I could fly Into the sky So very high Just like a dragonfly I'd fly above the trees Over the seas in all degrees To anywhere I please Oh I want to get away I want to fly away Yeah yeah yeah I want to get away I want to fly away Yeah yeah yeah Let's go and see the stars The milky way or even mars Where it could just be ours Let's fade into the sun Let your spirit fly Where we are one Just for a little fun Oh oh oh yeah! I want to get away I want to fly away Yeah yeah yeah I want to get away I want to fly away Yeah yeah yeah I got to get away Feel I got to get away Oh oh oh yeah I want to get away I want to fly away Yeah, yeah, yeah (oh yeah) I want to get away I want to fly away Yeah with you yeah yeah I got to get away I want…
Admittedly I couldn't remember the rest! It's not so bad. I hold my hands up to my error! Can I have "The killer in me is the killer in you" instead?
Hmmm kind of hard to miss since Mike sings the words into a megaphone! Kind of like he was saying "you're going to hear my dopey lyrics whether you want to or not!"
Come on man it's real easy to miss the "bachelor of bullets" line. I just listened again. It's way down in the last verse at 2:36 when there's already been a slew of ridiculous lyrics about southern policeman's mothers and such, and Mike fairly screams the word "bachelor" and kind of swallows "bullets," plus he goes straight into the final two lines in the stanza with hardly any pause. The megaphone doesn't really help.
Maybe it's the British plural collective noun thing. The government are, etc. Being American I'm no expert but I read a lot.
Wishbone Ash .. Blowin' Free I thought I had a girl I know because I seen her. Her hair was golden brown Blowin' free like a cornfield. She was far away I found it hard to reach her. She told me "You can try" But it's impossible to find her. In my dreams everything was alright. In your schemes you can only try.
Any rock song where one line ends with fire, and the next ends with desire. What a braindead, overused, and lameass cliche.
Stones - Sympathy For The Devil... "I shouted out who killed the Kennedy's when after all it was you and me" Myself & Jagger had nothing to do with the Kennedys murders... This was stupid to me in 1968 & still is in 2019... I absolutely abhor this song !!
Maybe this qualifies as more indecipherable than bad: I see a little silhouetto of a man Scaramouch, Scaramouch will you do the Fandango Thunderbolt and lightning very very frightening me Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, figaro, magnifico
