I love all these people on twitter "He used to be my favorite actor, now I'll never watch another one of his movie." Fickle much? No wonder the divorce rate is so high. Everybody is PERFECT!
I didn't care for the Taken franchise. Non-stop, over-the-top action gets just a little too ridiculous and uninteresting over the course of 1.5-2 hours. A Walk Among the Tombstones and Unknown were good movies though. Speaking of Bronson, I watched Death Wish for the first time yesterday. Solid effort.
The only one of the seemingly endless string of post-Taken action movies Lian has done that I really liked was "Run All Night" with Ed Harris and Joel Kinnaman. For some reason, I thought that one worked.
New film’s weekend taken pretty good, considering. Saying that just wish he had kept his mouth shut, should go for a confessional more often.
The film looks really good. I'm not certain about Men In Black International. That one looks like a money grab. Then again...all of them are I guess
Really? One of them won the Oscar for best original screenplay and was also nominated for best director and best film. Not see many movies?
I thought it was funny. It's the kind of thing that gets funnier as it goes because of the absurdity of the whole thing...
Don't see them as especially similar. For one, the Bronson character becomes a "global vigilante" who kills people unrelated to the family tragedy, whereas Neeson's solely pursues people connected to his son. For another, "Cold Pursuit" spreads way past the "Neeson on a rampage" plot. That's basically the first act but after that it takes off into a bunch of different areas. I liked it - it definitely offers something different than what one might expect...
At least he didn't do the Nicolas Cage thing. I loved him in Raising Arizona and a couple of others, but he's completely destroyed his brand. It's like he never met a script he didn't like.
that's what it's all about working, making money...it's a profession not a choice of ours...acting is a business....A JOB. Auto pilot is good for him...
Geez, it wasn't that long ago that Liam replaced Mel Gibson in a role because he was too controversial...
Yeah, but, Left Behind?! Seriously? I have to say that I agree with you, but there is a downside. The reason actors that have made a name for themself are usually careful about what scripts they agree to do is because if you destroy your brand you can find yourself doing a lot of movies for $100k instead of doing a couple of movies for $100mm.
yes and no...Yes when they are young...IMO...age has a lot to do with it in Hollywood. Left behind? it wasn't that bad. : )
To be fair, I never watched it. I just couldn't take the books seriously. And to be clear, if you knew my religious background, you'd think I was a huge fan (if you get my drift).
That was my first exposure to him. It's a true classic. I liked it so much I did some internet research on the character. Turns out they applied a heavy coat of poetic license to the story. He was mainly remembered as a cattle thief.
