Geez, can I remember them all without going into the den to look? Star Trek TOS Star Trek Deep Space Nine Buffy The Vampire Slayer Angel Veronica Mars Gilmore Girls Reba Rome As Time Goes By Chef! Monty Python's Flying Circus Downton Abbey The Vicar of Dibley Coupling The Tudors Sherlock There's probably a few others.
That show really surprised me. When it came out, I thought it was lame, but as I got older, I really grew to love it.
Too many to name so I’ll only mention a couple special ones: Nick Frost’s Hyperdrive series - I imported the PAL format DVDs from England to see it in its best-possible resolution. Darn fine sci-fi/workplace comedy from Simon Pegg’s frequent collaborator. You can get it on iTunes in slightly lower resolution. Journeyman - the 2007 Kevin McKidd NBC series was one of the best American sci fi dramas, but it was never released on DVD in the US and is not even sold on iTunes so I have a combination of almost-HD recordings and the extras from a UK DVD release which suffer from PAL speed-up.
I own the four volumes of "Beavis and Butt-Head", but I didn't include them in my list because while I own them all, they're not truly the complete series (all episodes)... But, I can see why you'd include them in your husband's list...
I forgot to add these to my list of complete series: Complete series of: "Tales from the Darkside" "Tales from the Crypt" "Mama's Family" "Gomer Pyle, USMC" "Three's Company" Working on completing the series: "King of the Hill" (I own seasons 1-6, and season 13)
After collecting ALL the seasons of `24`, I am now working on `Friends`.....I may need a bigger house
We counting mini-series with this? because I left out 'Carlos', 'Tanner 88', 'Fanny & Alexander', 'Scenes From A Marriage', 'Dekalog.' and maybe 'Out-1.' Sometimes there's a fine line between a short TV series and a long movie.
Mini-series & one season shows shouldn't count. If you buy it, you've got the whole series. Not much effort in that.

Let me think... Star Trek TOS Wild Wild West Man from U.N.C.L.E. Fawlty Towers Monty Python's Flying Circus Thunderbirds Supercar Fireball XL-5 Mary Tyler Moore Show Dick Van Dyke Show I Love Lucy Honeymooners The Prisoner Twilight Zone Saturday Night Live (seasons 1-5) Breaking Bad The Avengers (1960s) Torchwood Downton Abbey Sopranos Some of these were free Emmy screeners that came in and we wound up keeping them. But all the old shows I paid for on Blu-ray. I mastered all or most of the Get Smarts, Ghost & Mrs. Muirs, Lancers, Voyage to the Bottom of the Seas, M*A*S*H episodes, and worked on Lost, Rome, and a bunch of other shows, so those are alive and living well in my head.
I have the ones in bold...unfortunately I had to buy them all...LOL. Star Trek TOS BD/DVD Wild Wild West/DVD Man from U.N.C.L.E. My old pal Mark Evanier has a funny line about Man from U.N.C.L.E.: <paraphrasing> "I loved the show as a kid and eagerly awaited each new episode as it aired on NBC. 30 years later, I had the chance to buy it on DVD, and I was shocked to see they had reshot every episode, only with really cheap-looking sets and bad actors. This was not the show I remembered from my childhood." It is kind of a shock to look back on a show you loved while growing up, then you look at it again decades later and go, "what was I thinking?"
thankfully I've never experienced that...If I loved it then I love it still, but I'm not looking for clues...; ) I love going back in time...easy in easy out...
Blu-ray: Boardwalk Empire Breaking Bad Mad Men Sopranos The Wire and on DVD: Curb Your Enthusiasm Seinfeld Next up: Game of Thrones...waiting for the complete blu-ray box hopefully by year end.
I usually lower my expectations and understand that what was impressive for TV & film in the 1960s ain't too cool today. There are always exceptions: 2001 still holds up for me throughout about 95% of the movie. Hell, that's much more sophisticated than a hundred movies made after that.
yes it is...for me it's about the time in my life that was going on as well as the show or movie...pure Nostalgia...I loved growing up in the 60's as a youngster...every single band we discuss from the 60's I can relate to the time and place when I first heard the song on AM radio, bought the single, album, etc......never in my wildest dream did I think I'd be talking about the music, TV and movies from that time period nearly 60 years later! crazy...
