I love George Harrison and understand the value of his signature, but with conversion, this comes out to approximately $1120 USD.
    :bigeek:

I'll stick to my copy of All Things Must Pass instead :(

Still quite a bit cheaper than what you can find on eBay.

Now I will have signed books by George, Paul and Ringo.

    ;)
And I’ll have a signed LP from Paul, signed cd booklet from Ringo, and signed book by George.

Now I just need a dvd signed by John to complete the multimedia autograph collection. ;)

Although it is way too rich for my blood, I am surprised these are still available and the price seems actually reasonable to me for what it is.

I'm assuming that they had George sign all 2500 signature pages back in 1992 but they didn't bind all copies. These are the last 250 copies that they are putting together right now. I think I have that right.

I ordered so quickly I didn't even see an option for CD or vinyl. Ended up with the latter.

Wow! That is a super price. These GH books are beautifully done.
I'm SO tempted, but I have a very rare promo review copy of Vol. l.
I have had several Genesis books, and absolutely attest to their wonderful craftsmanship .. Anyone who is looking for a George autograph you can not go wrong.. and the price is fantastic! .. GO for it :righton:

Only one copy per household ;)

Besides, this is going in my permanent collection.

I actually opted for the vinyl intentionally. Back in 92, I might have chosen differently, but I think it’ll be a cooler item in the long run...

Vinyl is king when it comes to Beatles collectibles. Good call.

I bought this book when it was first published. I opted for the cd at the time but now obviously vinyl would have been the better choice. I think the price is resonable considering you're getting the signature, a limited EP, and a beautiful book. This is the kind of thing that becomes a family heirloom. Or you sell it for $$$ on Ebay when you have to replace the entire air conditioning system in your house.;)

For sure! Of all the money I've spent on Beatles & related stuff over the years buying I Me Mine, Songs V.1, and Songs V2 are among my best investments.:) I think IMM was just under $200 bucks when I bought it, and it was a loooong time between sending that cashier's check off to England and when I finally received my book. Some months I think, or maybe longer.

Jinks if you can swing the cost of the book AND new A/C you're golden;) Didn't you also get the suitcase?

Did you buy it back in 1980? I ask, because some time ago I researched the original cost and it was higher than I remembered. I'll see if I can find that post...

It was about $200 - you were right! Of course, for a 15 year old - that was crazy money!

I actually have the Genesis brochure for Vol 1 of Songs somewhere at home. I'll have to see what they wanted for that. My recollection was it was around $300...

I think I'm more plastic than golden. :)

Actually, I'm far from rich, but - aside from a mortgage payment - I have no real debt. Even bought a new car in 2017 and paid off the balance in < 18 months. Could use a bigger 401k balance, but couldn't we all?

I got mine with vinyl. It’s not cheap but I’d be forever kicking myself if I didn’t pick it up. I was fully expecting it to be sold out by the time I tried to execute the transaction but I guess luck was on my side today.

Yeah, I hesitated, because it's the most expensive item I've ever added to my collection. But I thought about it another 15 minutes and decided I'd better move fast.

250 items and they didn't last two hours. I hope any members here who were tempted at least got the chance to consider a purchase before the window closed on them...

It was either pay now or pay even more later on a used copy. When I got the advance notice the other week I had a day or so to internally debate whether I would pull the trigger.

They announced a few weeks ago that some previously unsold copies would be made available soon. Today was the day.
