Both local newspapers published articles on Government Center today, which is holding its Grand Opening celebration this Saturday (though it's been open for about a month).

The owner moved from Salem, OR to open this excellent vinyl shop in the North Side!

Who moves across the country to open a record store in Pittsburgh?

Looks like a fine place for vinyl enthusiasts, though I’ll continue to wait for a CD renaissance in the burgh.

 

Anyone make it to the GO today? I wanted to but couldn't pull it off.

Can anyone recommend a place in the area that offers used full-range speakers? I’d like to trade in mine for something in the $1200-1700 range. Audiogon oftentimes limits to local pickup only, and the only place I can think of (Northern Audio) doesn’t sell used equipment.

Please consider this a WTB as well, in case anyone here also caught upgrade-itis and wants to sell their used speakers.
