Was not the original specifically born from the current youth movement?
This time totally new ball game and anyone (hint: of any age) with cash can play.

It was, hence the current one mostly being younger artists (in addition to the original artists who are still alive).

That's why I don't understand all the late boomers/gen Xers (people too young to have been at the first Woodstock) complaining. Are they expecting it to be headlined by Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen, and Motley Crue?

Sure it is. Michael Lang created Woodstock so if he calls this Woodstock, it is Woodstock. It is not supposed to be a duplication of the original, but more so a modern version of it in the spirit of the first one.

nothing can even come close to 69' it will forever be with me as will the 94 reunion in Bethel of which I was privileged to play on stage with my wife...

How was it? Did you play during intermissions or where you part of the line-up somewhere? Was it recorded!?

If I was going, I would wish I still had my clothes that I wore at the 69 Festival. Unfortunately, my Mother threw them out after I changed the afternoon I got back from the festival. I will never understand why she did that. o_O

I wonder how the hair length at this one will compare to the original

I knew some Santana stuff, The JA and of course Hendrix but I never heard anything by Ten Years After until the festival. Needless to say, I became a fan after hearing TYA that night.
I probably knew more music from Sly than many of the other groups.

Probably, although it doesn't seem like the average male Woodstock attendee had long hair.

That is true but do any males have shoulder length hair these days? Except for rock stars of course. :D

It is commonly found on hippies, metalheads, bikers.

I nearly had shoulder length hair until recently.

Great idea! Do you have an old photo from '69? Maybe you can have your outfit recreated.

Jagger wore his 69' white Hyde Park tunic when he returned to play there 44 years later.
